Sometimes we turn the dial on the radio to fast, and we hear only static, and become frustrared. If we turn the dial more slowly to search for music, at a slower approach, we located a station.

I considered how my experience of turning the radio is like listening for God. I desire to hear God's voive instead of the din of the world's static and noice.
Sometimes my life seems to move too quickly for that to happen. The more I practice being still in my daily life, the better I can discern God's voice among the distractions of the world.

Be still, and know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10
Do you listen more faithfully to God's whispers?

Well said!
My pastor told me that in order to hear the words of God I must listen with my "spiritual ears". Just like everything else in life, if we live "in the flesh" we will not be able to hear God's word when we pray. We must be humble and pure of heart in order to live "in the spirit" and thus gain the most from our prayer time.

We are told in scripture to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh. The military marches very well and as a unit in step one with the other. They did not start out this way but much time and effort helped them to walk the way they do.Many came walking bent over and all mopey. But after getting that basic training they now walk strait and tall ,shoulders back and chest forward, they walk with purpose in mind.Christians start out much the same way,but just as the military learned to walk by listening to their commander, so will we walk as we listen to ;can I say our commander.God Bless ! and thanks for the 2

Every day the first thing I do is pray-listen-read scripture. Every day without fail. God talks to us all the time-but most of us only hear noise. Why?
