I was raised in a Unitarian Universalist church. Now I am looking for a faith or church that is somewhat similar (liberal, accepting, doesn't take the bible literally) but that offers a little more of something spiritual or substantial. Any suggestions?

Next week is our "step up Sunday" at church and all the teens teach the Sunday school classes. I am teaching the 0-2 class. There are not many in this class. They are mostly around the age of 2. They love to do "hands on" things and love to be involved.

Just trying to get some ideas. I don't want to just keep them occupied. I want to teach them something, but I want them to have alot of FUN doing it! =) Any ideas would be appreciated! =) Thanks

Do you think a Catholic is "bad" because they pray via Mary? As "bad" as a Hindu who worships a mother goddess?

NOTE: I don't think either one of them are bad.

How can human reincarnate again? There were only a few human before, but now we have more and more? If we are reincarnate, where are we all coming from? Is it from another planet?

If we are all meant to reach enlightenment (by doing good deeds) and become "Buddha" ourself (become one with our creator), why do I want to do that?
I don't need to be held responsible for what I've done. I can just do many sins and reincarnate myself again and again for unlimited period and live on earth for eternity.
After I get bored, then I will try to do good deeds in my life.
As other Prophets and Jesus has met God and reach enlightenment, does that mean they are also "Buddha"?

Should there a previous life, why can't I remember it? Should there a previous life, does that what make twin brothers go to different life and have different characteristics? Isn't that because of their genes/ DNA which carry different attributes?

would it upset you if your child chose one of these other faiths? Which would bother you the least? Which the most? Be honest.

Okay, I've heard a million Christians telling people that have sinned that if they accept Jesus their sins will be forgiven. Also, when Christians sin they always mention that Jesus died for their sins so they will still go to heaven. So a Christian can kill, steal, rape, and maim yet if they accept Jesus as their savior and beg for his forgiveness everytime they sin, they are not going to go to hell? What about Christians that commit fornication? Every night after they do it, if they beg Jesus for forgiveness and accept him as their savior, will they be forgiven each time? Don't you Christians lie because I've heard many of you assuring people that they wouldn't go to hell for committing these sins if they accept Jesus.

Yet me, an unbeliever no matter how many sins I don't commit will burn in hell fur sure just for my disbelief?

Muhammad lead twenty-six battles. Think about that.Twenty-six campaigns of bloody slaughter.

Muslims claim he was only human so isnt it possible that, whatever reason he had for each slaughter, that for at least 1 or 2 of the 26 slaughters, he was wrong and it wasnt a righteous slaughtering?

It must be that if Muhammad was human, and not a God, then some of the 26 slaughtering he lead were unjust, unless murder of unbelievers, in Islam, is always just and never wrong.

who believe differently?

And if you are judging others, are you not also defying the part of your religion that states it is only God's place to judge?

I'm trying to understand how an religious person who stands in judgment of another is not also a living example of hypocrisy. Can you help me understand in your own words, please.

I asked if God could exist as energy, rather than some unknown moving around in a different "dimension", and that energy is the essence of our souls and our intelligence and conscience. One person said that energy is not intelligent; energy travels in a straight line, unless acted upon by an outside influence. Well I submit to you that energy is not the thing that is traveling in that straight line. It is the object, the concrete object that travels in a straight line through energy.

We don't measure energy, we measure the difference of the results of energy being gathered in one place or another. E=mc^2 refers to the result of energy.

Where does the thought process, or the idea of "will" actually enter the neuron stream?

Why can't the overall energy of the universe, the energy that holds everything together, and infact IS everything, actually be connected as a collective intelligence that is the workings of God? Why can't our very souls be the different energy that God gave us?

ok i was having a discussion with my muslim friend about all religions...i was telling him that even tho i am a Roman Catholic i do agree that in the past the church did some stuff that were wrong, but as did other religion for example in Islam the word "Jihad" means eternal war as in was between good and evil within yourself, not war against other people. BUT the problem with relgions, when i say religions i mean ALL, is that the concept is wonderful [ it is there to discipline you and give you a better life] but it is man that ruin it. like the Jihad thing kings used it as a military tactic to kill non-muslims. so my thing is since we know that the concept is good and that we made mistakes in the past why dont we use that to better the futur of every single religon so we can get along more? isnt all we want is harmony among one another? what do you tihnk? thank you!

This question is to all Muslim brothers and sisters: I would like to know: Are you very religious? I would also like your e-mails if you may please. Don't worry, I am a Muslim. AND to all those who are NOT Muslim, please do not answer this question, for I know you will NOT behave. I just want to see how many Muslim brothers and sisters there are. Oh, plus please include where your from. THANKS!
