I asked if God could exist as energy, rather than some unknown moving around in a different "dimension", and that energy is the essence of our souls and our intelligence and conscience. One person said that energy is not intelligent; energy travels in a straight line, unless acted upon by an outside influence. Well I submit to you that energy is not the thing that is traveling in that straight line. It is the object, the concrete object that travels in a straight line through energy.

We don't measure energy, we measure the difference of the results of energy being gathered in one place or another. E=mc^2 refers to the result of energy.

Where does the thought process, or the idea of "will" actually enter the neuron stream?

Why can't the overall energy of the universe, the energy that holds everything together, and infact IS everything, actually be connected as a collective intelligence that is the workings of God? Why can't our very souls be the different energy that God gave us?

Energy cannot be seen; we can only see the effects of it. We cannot put energy under a microscope, nor can we control, create or destroy energy. What IS energy exactly? Why do we view it as a concrete thing that cannot have an agenda? Everything is made of energy, so in essence, all the energy of the universe and beyond is actually connected... How do you explain gravity? You can't see the energy transferred there? So why can't that entire collection of energy have a conscience that controls the laws that energy lives by? Why can't that energy have a conscience that wants to show people it's glory by gathering in strange ways to perform miracles? I'm not saying that God IS energy, I'm saying that energy is God, as in we are not our bodies, but our bodies are us. They are the part of us that affects the world around us. Energy could possibly be the body, the vessel, the hands of God.

The physics of energy have been studied and defined certainly. Studies measure engery. Dictionary.com defines energy as:

1. the capacity for vigorous activity; available power: I eat chocolate to get quick energy.
2. an adequate or abundant amount of such power: I seem to have no energy these days.
3. Often, energies. a feeling of tension caused or seeming to be caused by an excess of such power: to work off one's energies at tennis.
4. an exertion of such power: She plays tennis with great energy.
5. the habit of vigorous activity; vigor as a characteristic: Foreigners both admire and laugh at American energy.
6. the ability to act, lead others, effect, etc., forcefully.
7. forcefulness of expression: a writing style abounding with energy.
8. Physics. the capacity to do work; the property of a system that diminishes when the system does work on any other system, by an amount equal to the work so done; potential energy. Symbol:. E
9. any source of usable power, as fossil fuel, electricity, or solar radiation.

I think we see the conceptualization of energy everyday. An office worker with boundless energy - where do you draw the line? Is the worker defined by the engery? Or the energy defined by the worker? Or is the energy an expression of the worker?

Perhaps the conceptualization of energy is our own perception of that expression of energy. The hard worker would see just that while we would
see boundless ebergy or great output. The writer would see passion they put into the work while we take out an energy as concept of that passion or as
concept of our own reaction to or interpretation of that passion - perhaps the energy being the conceptions we BRING to the reading.

But frankly my gut reaction is "of course" I mean - we physically consist
of the same chemistry. We use, burn and store energy. And clearly we think
so aren't we perfect examples of intelligent forms of energy? Perhaps
we are in a Christian/Buddhist sense are part of the body of God and WE
and everything around us are the chemistry of that body.

1) E=mc^2 does not refer to the "result of energy" but rather to the measurement of a quantity of energy or mass.
The concept that you are trying to explain is part of the law of conservation, but its like the chicken and the egg, which comes first?

2) Light travel in a straight line in a space time continuum that is curved, by matter and matter is energy!
The curvature of space is due to matter, (gravity or mass curves space) You can observe it around black holes where space is so curved that time actually slows down.

3) You are right that speed does affect mass, however. I don't know what you mean about entering a neuron stream. Do you mean a neutron stream?
Well I don't know what you mean either by entering one!

You can not mix religion and faith.
You cant prove G-d! Period.
You either have faith or you don't.

I have faith and I have some classical physics background also.

This is exactly why I find it ridiculus when people in either camps (believers and atheists) try to explain science when they don't know the first thing about it!

Yes of course we are part of G-d, made in his image. And I believe that G-d is behind and beyond the universe we live in.
If there was no conciousness there would not be need for a universe. I hear you on that one.

I understand you are bright, maybe brilliant and have good ideas.
Mabe you should try to study some basic physics. But please don't mix religion and science.

This is a Very Simple Thing to Understand.

At one Point there was only the Creator, GOD Almighty.
GOD (from the Bible) is LIGHT, LOVE, a Flaming Fire (energy) and Alot of Other Things.

NOW, in School I Learned that 2+2=4.

At One Point, the Only Thing that was in Existance was GOD.
GOD Created Alot of Things (Universe, Earth, People so on, takes Energy to Drive all of This)----WHAT did GOD USE to Create Everything if Only HE EXISTED.

And the Word became Flesh and Dwelt Among Man.
The Word (Jesus) is GOD.

GOD Framed (Created) the Worlds with the Word of GOD.
2+2= The Word(GOD)
I rest my Case.

Aha. I think you have struck upon one of my favorite subjects to pontificate on.

This is how I see it. Yes, energy is measured by movement. However, for the types of energy recongized by science--there *are* measurements. The types you speak of, mental (I hate the word psychic) energy and/or spiritual energy, cannot yet be measured. We don't have a measurement unit, nor an accurate way to measure them. This is why they're not recognized by science, or for that matter by the world at large.

Can one conceptualize energy, form it into a concrete object? Yes. I know this because I've done it; for that matter, I've done it consistently in what science would refer to as a repeatable experiment, but that's beside the point. Is God energy? I see this as the only logical way to perceive God. Even our physical bodies are just a delicate framework of atoms with plenty of empty space between them--held together by a number of forces.

God bless you and saints be praised! I knew I would see the day. My sister stated it perfectly the other day "If God is an ocean, then I am a glass of God". Oh, the implications!

Ever play any Yahoo Pool? We could have ourselves a nice conversation over a few games if you are interested!

Peace!

God is what holds everything together. He is the glue of the atom and sub-atomic particles. Without God, everything would just fly apart. He is more then just mere electrons.

Watch the movie, "What The Bleep Do We Know?" - if possible, watch the five hour extended version. I think that you will find your answer somewhere in that movie.
