who believe differently?

And if you are judging others, are you not also defying the part of your religion that states it is only God's place to judge?

I'm trying to understand how an religious person who stands in judgment of another is not also a living example of hypocrisy. Can you help me understand in your own words, please.

am i judging people if i say religious people do nothing but judge. Id say that but i dont think its true. I think a lot of people religion or no religion judge based on the fact that they have nothing better to do, whether it be based on race, education, lifestyles, sexuality. People have a hard time acceptiong things that are different than what they like and who they are. Most religious people believe that only God is the judge and to be honest with you, I have no idea how they can look at themselves in the mirror on a daily basis living in the hypocrisy they live in. And yes they are defying the part of their religion if they judge, but you must remember most religions are hypocritical as well, with plenty of examples in the bible itself. I think everyone needs to practice tolerance and acceptance, and until we do, the world is full of closed minded people

If you believe something to be right, then things that contradict what you believe to be "right", you must believe they are "wrong". No matter what the subject.

If you don't believe anything is "right", then you have no beliefs at all.
Examples:
A person who believes evolution is "right", must believe the 6 days of creation described in the Bible is wrong.

A person who believes there is no God, must believe that all the people who say there is a God are wrong.

Everyone has a belief. Yes, everyone has some things they believe to be right, true, and correct. By accepting these things, these people automatically state that the things contrary to this view are not right, false and incorrect.

Christians believe the God of the Bible is what he claims to be, tho only true and living God. This being said, we believe any other "god" is not-true and non-living. If we don't reject the opposite of our view, then we don't truly believe what we claim to affirm.

Many point to the verse where Jusus said "judge not".(Matt 7:1) But if you look at the context, he also says after you get the plank out of your own eye, then you can see clearly to take the speck out of your brothers eye. (verse 7) This passage does not say ignore the faults of others, but we should deal with our own faults first. It says of the evil, "ye shall know them by their fruits" (verse 17). We are to be fruit inspectors.

Jesus said. "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." (John 7:24) The key is we are not to judge by our own standard, nor by unfair standards, but where the Word of God has already made a statement, the judgment has already been made. To say what the word has already established as true, is not OUR judgement. It is just pointing to a standard God has already set.

Religion is different from believing in God. I go to a non denomanatioanl church and we believe and teach what the bible says. Its not judging to disagree with someone on their views and ways of worshipping. Your right no one has the right to judge because only God can see the hearts of believers. Just because a person is religious and makes mistakes doesn't make them a hypocrit. We're all human and are going to make mistakes. If we were able to be perfect on our own we wouldnt have needed a savior. Good luck and pray

In that case, every opinion that would contradict another's opinion would be construed a judgment. There is nothing wrong with the statement, I believe the claims of Jesus Christ, that He is the only way to God. If a Muslim says, oh we worship the same God....I will so, no, I do not agree. The god of Islam does not have a son who died on a cross and rose again, therefore that god of Islam is not the God of the bible.

This is called a difference of opinion! Not a judgment.

It is a very simple answer. It is not our judgment. That judgment has already been made by God. John 3:36 "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." We are simply informing you of the judgment of God that has already been pronounced. Jesus was asked this same question and this was his response. John 12:47 "If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. "He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.
God has already made judgment on certain things, say 'stealing' Now if you steal and I say you are a thief, I am not judging you, the 10 commandments spoken by God 1500 years ago is what judges you. That is what Christ said - "the word I spoke is what will judge him"

It could only be considered judgement if you're religion did not claim to be the only way to God. At the very least I know Christianity makes the statement of being the only way and therefore believing that Christianity is the only "true" religion is actually an aspect of my religion.

Call it what you may. I made a clear, cut, and free choice to join the church of my desires. I judge my religion to have the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ wherein others suffer from the lack of it.

But that is my edge and I make no apologies to any one. We all must make judgments every day; to say otherwise brings out foolishness from within.

I for one beleive my religion is right for me but may not be for someone else. Everyone will beleive what they can understand. So long as the goal is the same who cares about the path to get there? Honestly there is no right or wrong religion to me and I do not have the rght to tell anyone there is. P.S. For me it is Goddess not God. Alot of people tell me this is wrong, but thats just a point of view.We each have our own.

I operate under the theory that you can believe as you wish, I will believe as I wish, and when we die and meet the deity who is true that the one who is correct can tell their deity that while those of us who backed the wrong deity are non believer's that we did not harm the believer and that we should get in anyway.

I feel that any being who can generate a universe has a slightly higher intellect than my self and that it is arrogant of me to assume to be worthy of doing their work without direct conversations with the creator telling me to do so.

Theres a difference between not judging and not following. I'm not gonna follow islam/buddism/hinduism, etc., because I don't believe in them. I'm not condemning them, cause I don't have that power, and its not my job. As a christian, I believe we're to spread the word, not force it, which means as long as they've heard it, my job is over, and most of the world has heard it. I have no problem with others and their religions, as long as they don't try to force them on me. I don't try to force them, they should have the same respect for mine, and most do.
