Seriously, I can't think of any... What's with all the questions about how "all wars are started by religion"? Thoughts?

The commonality of the belief between religions, of a higher being, points to the argument that there is a God. But who is right then? Check out Occam's razor. It is an intellectual process where after all things are considered, the simpliest explanation, is the best possible answer. That there is no God! What do you think?

The Bible is a collection of writings by many different authors. The Qur'an is a dictation. The speaker in the Qur'an - in the first person - is God talking directly to man. In the Bible you have many men writing about God and you have in some places the word of God speaking to men and still in other places you have some men simply writing about history. The Bible consists of 66 small books. About 18 of them begin by saying: This is the revelation God gave to so and so… The rest make no claim as to their origin. You have for example the beginning of the book of Jonah which begins by saying: The word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Elmitaeh saying… quote and then it continues for two or three pages.

Noone can take away the right to life of another human being without their permission. How can a fetus grant permission? Pro-choicers are murderers by definition: premeditated act which takes away someone's right to life without their consent. Why do you do this?

There is no tithe, but you must buy the books yourself. Better yet, support your local library. Here are the rules.
*You shall spread the Word of Potter to all in the land to increase The Followers of the Word.
*You shall not be rude to Muggles (Christians) no matter how badly they treat you. (I know that's a tough one)
*You shall see the movies, yet understand that they are BASED on the Word, yet are NOT the Word.
*You shall respect the Trinity, Harry Ron and Hermione, but Harry is the greatest of all these.
*You shall NOT bow to Voldemort, for he is evil. And possibly not to Snape, we're not sure about him yet.
*For good works, you shall recieve a place in Gryffindor. You shall also recieve Pumpkin Juice, Butterbeer, Pepper Imps, and Chocolate Frogs. And lo, they will never decrease.
*You shall undertake any task given you, no matter your skill level, because this leads to better understanding.

Note new rules will be added, as I look deeper into The Word.
LOL!!

If human beings are the only species on the planet endowed with reason, isn't it possible that we invented religion as a way cope with the knowledge of our own mortality and to establish a sense of purpose for our existence?

I need to know where you get your information from - whether it's from Bible verses or not.

All of them?

Is there anything in the story of the Flood that shows God tried to save humanity from their wicked ways? He did not hand down the Laws until Moses. He did not offer a saviour until Christ.

So where is the justice in drowning every man, women, child, and unborn child when God had not provided anyone with instructions on how to live their lives in a way that would be pleasing to the Lord? How could these people avoid evil when God did not teach them what was good in His eyes?

And why was God so quick to judge them, rather than provide them with a way of achieving salvation?

...Billions of years ago nothing came together, and exploded to make the universe?
...It rained on the rocks for millions of years and started life like that, I mean male AND female creatures, or plasma, or whatever you call it?
...you, or your great great great great grandpa washed up on a beach to form the first land creature?
...your great great great grand pa and ma was apes?
If it is true, then please tell over the next billions of years, what will your kids look like? (cant wait for this answer, hehehehe!!!)

There are certain people who believe this and their so-called logic goes as follows.

"Because atheists choose not to believe that,in itself, is a belief. Therefore as they have beliefs they can't be atheist"

The first time I saw this I nearly laughed my c**k off.
Have you ever heard such utter rubbish?

It's called Potteranity, and if you join, you're a Potterite. I figure that since the Christians can blindly follow stuff written in a book, so can I, and I choose Harry Potter. There is a lot of material to cover (6 books so far) so there is reading involved, and no, the movies don't count, because they distort The Word. On the plus side, there's no creation theory involved! There is however some evolution, in the form of Harry's growing magical powers. Who's with me? Convert to Potteranity today!

Seriously - how else can any modern country be so full of people who don't understand even elementary science and keep stating that evolution is nonsense when it is the most validated scientific theory in existence (we have more evidence for it than for Newton's or Einstein's theories of gravity).

They clearly cannot ALL be stupid so this must indicate serious failings in the US educational system.

Why were they even allowed to graduate High School with such minimal understanding of science and massive ignorance of the scientific facts?

It says in Matthew 2:11 that when they came unto the HOUSE, they saw the YOUNG CHILD and fell down and worshiped him, and presented gifts to Him, Gold, Frankincence, and Myrrh. It doesn't say it was 3 men just three gifts. One could have brought the gold, another Frankincense and Gold, another Gold and Myrrh, another Gold, Myrrh, Frankincense and so on and so on.
