Yes, i agree. We always seem more relaxed in dreams, and notice how, if you smoke, you never want one in a dream....

Must be nice to never have nightmares. The other side of what? Not heaven or hell. But I am not sure any religion would say that about dreams. Maybe look into New Age stuff. they allow pretty much anything.

most of my dreams are ones where people are trying to hurt me and are chasing me.
In my last bad dream, I dreamt that I got shot. It was a horrible feeling. I'm not a bad person or get into trouble so don't know why I often have bad dreams.

these might be as we do seem to do things in our dreams that indicate a certain amount of happiness and joy. in order to help prevent bad dreams remember a dream - catcher is a good idea as I use one and seem to have better dreams.

hard to prove your theory is
...sorry for the Yoda talk.
It may well be - what is amazing about dreams is everything you see/taste/feel/do is generated (we believe) by the Brain, and it can be pretty cool, scary, true to life, or just way out...

Interesting theory, so would this also explain nightmares as we all have both.
