I am not a Christian. #1 Jesus was the son of God, no more than we are all children of God. #2 Any religion that claims to be the only way to God is a lie.#3 The bible is a bunch of crap, written by men who desired money and control. They used fear and lies to achieve that.#4 I know that sexual orientation is not a choice.#5 Speaking in tongues is fake.#6 Censorship is wrong.#7Religion should not be put into the law.#8A woman's right to an abortion is no-body's business but the woman. #9 All people should be allowed to marry anyone they want to marry.#10 I have never blown up a woman's clinic or killed a doctor #11 I did not oppose allowing a woman who had been brain dead for 15 years to cross over. I would want my wishes to be carried out. Her husband would know what she wanted.

I did give Christianity a good try. But there was so much hypocrisy and hatred and condemnation within the religion (regarding the people practicing it - not necessarily the religion itself) that it discouraged me. Plus I had a really hard time believing in the bible literally, so I decided to look elsewhere. I ended up finding a personal belief system that suits both my intellectual and spiritual needs and I'm much happier and fulfilled now.
In a nutshell - Christianity just didn't work for me.

Nope. I was raised in a christian church and made to go several times a week, but I always knew it wasn't for me even when I was trying really hard to be a "good christian."
Once I moved out of my parents' house I never went back.
I discovered later that I have been a pagan all my life, since before I even before I knew what a pagan really was.
Peace

Yes I am one.
I was raised Christian so one would think that being a christian would be natural for me, and it was in a way. But I am not a Christian because my parents taught me to be one. Over the years I have tested my faith, researched by faith and come to the conclusion that Christianity is the best way. I have seen the effects of my faith and the faith of others in my life. I can say that my faith is based on truth and science as well as making that leap into the spiritual unknown. If I could reason my faith out entirely it wouldn't be faith then would it?

I used to be Christian because I was raised Christian. sometime during my twenties I had an epiphany. I realized that my attitude and behavior as a Christian was atrocious. I believed ONLY Christians knew "Truth". I believed ONLY Christians experienced God. I believed that anyone who didn't believe as I did would be tossed into Hell and tortured forever and redundantly ever . and I believed it was my duty to inform all nonChristians that Hell awaited them if they didn't see God my way. I mean ... I was so RUDE and cruel and arrogant and smug and worst of all ... piously pitying of any nonChristian who didn't submit to my sermons. the intellect provided to me saved me. I practice a new religion of self honesty and truth sets me free. I would that every and all religion entrapped people be set free as I have been. but it takes a lot of humble self examination and being a Hell mongering Bible thumping authoritarian is so much easier and more fun.

I'm a Christian because I believe that Christ died on the cross for my sins and because of that I am totally and utterly in love with him. He has worked in my life too many ways to count, and my faith grows in him day by day. Its hard to explain, but I have no idea how I would live my life without him. He is the one, the Omega, the Almighty, My Lord.

Nope. Religion makes no sense and completely lacks logic.
The universe works like a machine - it's very logical. Religion is completely the opposite - or rather it's logical only when you look at it for what it is -- a psychological crutch for people who have a difficult time coping and/or understanding this world.

I believe that the world is a fluke and that everybody needs some kind of make believe story to hang on to to go on living life. Christians are not going to heavan cause they believe Jesus will save them. Save them from what anyway.
Get off your knees and do something for yourself stop praying live life it will do the world a whole lot of good.
