The reasons generally given and understood for war, and the real reasons usually differ.
While it might appear that religion is the basis of war, it is not the religions advertised.
They are really wars created by Zionists, otherwise known as the Illuminati, or New World Order.
This group of very rich families have a plan to take control of the entire planet, and they use war as a method of reducing populations, and transferring control.

Yes. Try The American revolution over taxation. The Civil war over slavery. The Spanish-American war over territory. World War II over Hitler and Nazism. World War I begun by an assassination. And lots more.
Even some of the wars that seem to be about religion, are not really or solely about religion. The war in Northern Ireland is a good example.

World War One and Two
Vietnam War -- communism
Korean War -- Communism
First Iraq War -- maintaining some influence on the control of oil in that region

The list could go on and on. Religion is often used as a justification for war because it inspires the emotions, but c'mon. Money and control are enough to start a war.

There have been wars for the independence of a country, like in Venezuela happened in 1821, venezuelans were fighing against the spanish army because they wanted to be a free country. Same has happened with other colonies of european countries that today are independent nations, just like the US, which was freed from England. Also, there have been wars that start because there's an argue about who owns what amount of land. To name one, the US fought Mexico to get states like Texas, New Mexico, California, etc. These states used to belong to Mexico. As you can see, not every war has started because of religious differences.

The U.S. Civil War, the Revolutionary War, WWI, WWII, The Vietnam War. The mere fact that the predominant religion in each of the warring countries is different doesn't make the war "about religion".

Looks like someone didn't study history like they should have.

Just in the last 200 years or so:

War of Independence (from England)
French-Indian war
Mexican-American war (remember the Alamo?)
US Civil War
Franco-Prussian war
WWI (The war to end all wars?)
WWII
Korea
Viet-Nam
The 6 days war (Israel kicked *** then)
The first and second war in Iraq
the "cold war" (not technically a declared war - but the sentiment is the same)

There are several others since 1700, and a lot before then.

Would you like to study this for yourself? or would you like everyone else to do it for you?

I suspect that at the heart of things, no war has ever really been about religion. Most wars are blamed on religion, because it's a convenient way to sway public support, but at the core most wars are about fear or greed.

As far as I know, only the American Revolution was largely due to the Colonies desire for separation from England's church. Included in that were several other factors, but that is the only war America has been involved in which stated religious freedom as one of the causes.

The U.S. Civil War- it started over the separation of states. Then slavery became the issue.
I'm sure there have been border wars as well, just can't think of any off hand. Those aren't commonly covered in history class.... just the big ones.

Have a great day!!!
