Yes your daft! If you were an American you'd have to:

1. Drink horrible beer like Bud-Lite
2. Stop using A4
3. Do everything in pounds, ounces, gallons, feet and the like
4. Mispronounce everything
5. Wear loud clothes
6. Forget about the offside rule

Remain British! Think of all those British things we can be proud of:
1. Chicken Tikka Masalla
2. Going metric inch by inch
3. Wet weekends
4. Real ale
5. Losing at footy (depending on which bit of Britain its either getting thrashed by everyone - Wales, occaisionally putting up a good fight - Scotland, or losing on penalties in the quarter finals EVERY TIME - England)

Maybe you just like the idea of the American culture living in the land of the Free, Home of the Brave, although England is kinda like that because according the the song rule Britannia we rule the waves and will never be slaved. I am British but I love the Spanish away of life, I been to Spain my times and feel like it is my second home, I enjoy the culture and lifestyle, maybe that's how you feel about America.

Nope, not daft. Just move to the US, get a work visa, then get a green card and then become a naturalized citizen. There are plenty of people there who identify with the British too.

Quite possibly XD

But you can be whatever you want to be in your heart. I just wouldn't try t use it as a chat up line "Hi, I'm British, but i think I'm American"

Not a good idea
