Like the New Jerusalem that is supposed to descend from hevan. Fire is biblically said to come down from heaven. It's going to be part of of making the New heaven (sky) and the New Earth, right?

harm: BAD!

In other words if you value a life (including yours) that's good and it's better if you avoid things that harm life even if it's little by little, causing a bit of misery (vice, superstition, violence, etc). I believe salvtion from the tendacy to do bad things is what true salvation is. Then good atheist go to the New Jerusalem after the resurrection, right?

There is the question of a cure.
There is the question of preventative measures.
There is the question of treatment for those already suffering.
There is a question of helping those who are dying to die with dignty.
And there is the question of helping the family members of those who are dying or have died.

Pick any one, or combination, and address the issue.

So tell me...a bunch of extremists (in the name of religion) hijacked planes and hit the WTC on 9/11 killing innocent people trying to prove whatever insane point they had.

Bush, then said...great...this is my chance to take over all the countries that are producing oil so he went in with his troops to Iraq (a country that had nothing to do with the WTC) again killing innocent people(women and children).

The world is looking at 9/11 as terrorism and blaming Islam for everything but what Bush is doing is rite???? Please explain.

If you pray to God for money, for love and happiness, for peace, etc., does it really work? I've heard it's true. But it hasn't happened to me yet. I really need money and a job and to find true love. Do I have to pray at lot to make it happen every day or once a day?

P.S. I never did find my missing items with St. Anthony or Jesus, when I prayed to them. :-(

Death is the opposite of life, there's nothing in between. Adventists teach that there are two deaths. The first one everyone dies and it's called a sleep because they believe in a resurrection. There are two resurrections. The first is for eternal life, but only 1000 years will be in paradise somewhere in outerspece because the New Jerusalem will descend to Earth. The other resurrection is for the second death which is permanent (you cease existing). They don't believe in hell, but they believe that the second death will involve being burned at your own grave and being nothing but ashes after that. The Earth also becomes new. They don't believe that you have a "soul" because they teach that you are a living dust being and the spirit animates you (a dust person). They emphasize that the spirit is NOT you. Conscious beings run on spirit energy, but they aren't spirits themselves. Only God is called spirit itself.

I believe good atheists will get eternal life :)

have your read the bible inspired by God-the prophecies that point right to Jesus as our coming messiah to take away our sins-believing this saved those before he came-
Isaiah 52vs13-53 (last verse is 12th) He will be exaulted but first marred more than any man. He will be despised and lay down his life as our sacrificial lamb, and make atonement for our sins.

Okay, let me try this again to get a different slant on things. How does/could/would nowing that the world is coming to an end and you will not be here much longer changed your interactions with society? Your home life? Going to work each day? Your savings account? etc.
