Given the sometimes alliterative nature of the Bible, and mans lack of true understanding of it, it would be hard to say definitivley if Paradise and Heaven are separate places or two names for the same place. New Jerusalem will be Gods Kingdom on Earth, but I do not have an answer for your first question.

Paradise is a section of Hades (Greek) or Shoel (Hebrew). It is the place where all the dead, good or bad, saved or unsaved, went before the resurrection of Jesus. It had two sections. One was known as Paradise, also called Abraham's bossom. Those who had lived good and followed the law went there. The other was hell, which was a place of torment,

Jesus spoke about them in Luke 16:20-31. He tells about a rich man and a begger named Lazarus. After their death Lazarus was in Paradise with Abraham, and the rich man below that in torment.

After His death on the cross, I Peter 3:19 says He went and preached to the spirits that were imprisoned there. Everyone who had lived before Jesus appeared was given a chance - in either paradise or hell - to hear what he had done. Those who accepted were saved and freed from their captivity there. Ephesians 4:8 says that when he descended to heaven, he took those who were in captivity with him to heaven. At this time, if paradise still exists, it is empty. Only hell is still inhabited.

Today, when a person dies, they either go into the presence of Christ in heaven, or into hell. There is still to come a final judgement when each person will receive rewards (or not) based on their works. After that, hell and all who inhabit it, will cast into the Lake of Fire, which is the second death.

Finally, with the redemption of mankind completed and sin totally removed from the earth, God will move his throne from heaven to the new, reshaped earth and set up rule from the new Jerusalem.

In english Heaven and Paradise means the same thing and used interchangebly. However in arabic they are used for different purposes. Heaven in arabic is used to mean the sky or levels of sky (there are 7 heaven, levels of sky). Paradise is on the other hand used to mean the place where the believers will be accepted i.e opposite of Hell.

No Please read 2 Pet 3:5-7

5For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that (N)by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was (O)formed out of water and by water,

6through which (P)the world at that time was (Q)destroyed, being flooded with water.

7But by His word (R)the present heavens and earth are being reserved for (S)fire, kept for (T)the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

The "old heavens and earth" from Noah's day are still here.

The New Heavens are cleansed when Satan is kicked out.

(Rev 12 : 7And there was war in heaven, (S)Michael and his angels waging war with the (T)dragon The dragon and (U)his angels waged war,
8and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven.

9And the great (V)dragon was thrown down, the (W)serpent of old who is called the devil and (X)Satan, who (Y)deceives the whole world; he was (Z)thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

The New Earth is cleansed from ungodly men

Prov 2:21For (AD)the upright will live in the land
And (AE)the blameless will remain in it;
22But (AF)the wicked will be cut off from the land
And (AG)the treacherous will be (AH)uprooted from it.

If the literal earth is destroyed why are the righteous left in it and the wicked are uprooted?

Actually, I saw this ad recently. - Make the last step you take in this life be the first step you take into the luxury of "Heavenly Estates". Why spend eternity floating on a cloud when, for 10% of your income while here on Earth, you could reside in a Huge white marble, gold trimmed mansion with cherub um taking care of your every need? Act today, the end is near and a two year minimum payment is needed to guarantee your place in" Heavenly Estates".
