Christians often refer to Islam as a terrorist religion, and they abuse the Arabic word "Jihad" and portray it as a reference to terrorism. We must not forget that JIHAD began in the Bible, where GOD Almighty Commanded His followers to fight for His Holy Cause. Let us look at what the Bible says about Jihad:

GOD Almighty Chose the land of Palestine to be the Jews' "Promise Land", and thus, ordered them to go into it and fight the pagans there so they can have possession over it:

Numbers 13:26-28
26 They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land.
27 They gave Moses this account: "We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit.
28 But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there.

One simple Question: Did the disbelievers in the land of Palestine during the times of Moses start any war with the Hebrews who ORIGINALLY came from Egypt?? Absolutely Not!

I have been with my girlfriend for over a year. Recently, there have been many rifts between us. I am a very devout Christian soul and very honest with her. I told her about my past and the times that I have cheated on her. She and Jesus have both forgiven me. For the last two weeks now I have been seeing this very honest Christian girl I met at a church function. It's been great. Sex with her feels very holy and clean.

Here's the dilemma, this girl I met told me that my girlfriend has a very dirty past. My girlfriend was not a virgin when she met me. I was not her first. She lied to me!

Now when I see my girlfriend all I could think about is what an unreligious a*s wh o re she is. Jesus fried on the cross because of liar like her. Should I dump her? Should I confront her and tell her how hurt I am? What should I do? Jesus help ME!

With all of the wars, crusades(killing), persecuting, fingerpointing and suppresion Christianity(God) has done, would the opposite of that(Satan) be a better choice? Wouldn't he be someone that let's us live harmoniously, happily and without conflict?
And please don't tell me he will try to appear to be on my side and misdirect me because you can't deny any of the above that the Christian faith has done, it's part of history. If you ask me God has pulled the wool over people's eyes and misdirected them to believe he is all loving, all the while, there are religious wars, etc. in history to recount for. Christianity has been on the offensive with this, not on the defensive. Pagans did not ask to be killed during any crusade, Christian leaders have always went out looking for them.

36 The half share of those who fought in the battle was:
337,500 sheep, 37 of which the tribute for the LORD was 675;

38 36,000 cattle, of which the tribute for the LORD was 72;

39 30,500 donkeys, of which the tribute for the LORD was 61;

40 16,000 people, of which the tribute for the LORD was 32

Belief in God is something that I am having a hard time with. Is there proof of god? What do you believe and why?

I think that the Bible takes the view that animals have no souls. If I believed in the everlasting soul, going to Heaven and such, I would take it that the Bible was wrong on this point. Dog, cat and birdlovers know that their pets have personalities, likes and dislikes etc. Doesn't that indicate a soul?
I'm not trying to trip you up here, Pretty Boy Floyd (my cockatiel) and I were just wondering what your thoughts were on this small point.

If believers are said to have faith, and many call this blind faith regardless of the believers response being grounded in what he/she deems to be the evidence they have to justify their belief, isn't it the same thing in regards to unbelievers having faith that there is no God, and this being blind faith as well since we are all in agreement that God cannot be proven or disproven? Doesn't it largely depend on what someone may be predisposed to believe?
If I want there to be a God< I will see the evidence in support of His existence. If I don't want there to be a God then I will see the evidence in that support.

Knowing the Word of God is YOUR responsibility. Don't believe an answer without looking it up first. Test everything and read a lot. Don't just blindly listen to a pastor and think it is in line with the Word of God. A lot of pastors are preaching to "itching ears". Are you getting told what you want to hear? Being...."fed"?

'JESUS loves' seems to be a true believer (as I strive to be).
Doesn't such an open showing of love make you appreciate Christ's gift to humanity even more?
