Were there any paintings from that time in the middle-east?

It doesn't matter what he looked like. What matters is who he is.

People don't know what he looked like, so far as my knowledge reaches. I may not have some information that others have, though.

But I stick to my original statement: Who cares what he looked like? He came to save souls, regardless of their temporary housing.

Well we don't really know what Jesus is like but he certainly wasn't white when he walked the earth, he lived in Israel and was the child of God and a Hebrew woman. He worked hard in the sun for most of his life his skin was probably very dark. And I doubt that he was skinny for the same reasons he was a pre middle ages carpenter before he started traveling and so he was probably very buff. I doubt that there are any paintings of him, painters were scarce and rarely painted people. Anyhow I hope that helps.
God Bless you

If the Shroud of Turin is authentic (a matter of faith, but the "proof" that it was not old enough has been discredited - back to square one) we have a picture of him.

Jack Christians think he had light hair, blue eyes and very caucasian features, just like God.

At the time and in the place where he lived, he probably looked more like the average male semite (semites include arabs as well as jews) of today.

They could only know if they saw him when He was on earth and maybe some of them painted him. Jesus can look many different ways, but I see him as what He was on earth. A Hebrew, a beautiful person and one I would not be able to resist following or believing in. I do not like portrayals of him that appear with blonde hair and blue eyes and one that make him look weak. He was very strong.

well, according to revelations he would have been very darked skinned and have dark curly hair. At a guess, he would be dark skinned but even darker from the sun as they would want to show he is a man of the world, a person who doesn't just sit indoors all day. His hair was probably thick and curled and likely matted looking, like he were a sheep... again, man of the world! His hair could be any colour between black, brown or white. Facial features... dunno, try looking at people from North Africa and at least some of the features will be there, unfortunately there are no true/realistic impressions of him known to us from that time.

Well lets see. He was a jew right? so he obviously is not white. Sorry people. It also says in the Bible that he was not attractive because he wanted people to belive what he said and not fall in love with the way he looked.
I think people just painted him the way he looks now in modern picture because people would rather think of him in as more pleasing figure.

I suppose the people at the time noted down his look and it got passed down through the years but I heard the bible was found in Ethiopia,so he could have been black?

I went to pick up something for my mom at a church the other day and there was a statue that represented Jesus playing with little children dressed in the robes etc. from the time and Jesus and the children all had blond hair, blue eyes, and fair skin, so I guess that's what Jesus and the people he was with looked like... Right?

Sorry, no paintings or other descriptions. Some say He was handsome, some say He was homely.

But we all have a picture of what He looks like to us, and usually He looks similar to us lol.

We don't know exactly what He looked like. We do know a lot of ways He didn't look, based on His ethnic background. He certainly wasn't a blue-eyed blond. We can get a general idea of what He probably looked like by looking at typical men of today from the same ethnic background.
