With all of the wars, crusades(killing), persecuting, fingerpointing and suppresion Christianity(God) has done, would the opposite of that(Satan) be a better choice? Wouldn't he be someone that let's us live harmoniously, happily and without conflict?
And please don't tell me he will try to appear to be on my side and misdirect me because you can't deny any of the above that the Christian faith has done, it's part of history. If you ask me God has pulled the wool over people's eyes and misdirected them to believe he is all loving, all the while, there are religious wars, etc. in history to recount for. Christianity has been on the offensive with this, not on the defensive. Pagans did not ask to be killed during any crusade, Christian leaders have always went out looking for them.

I agree with much of what you say. All that has been done in the name of the Christian/Jewish/Islam God.... and is still being done!!!!

However, I no more believe in Satan than I do in Jesus.

I think the answer would be in religion stop trying to control and people stop hating those who don't believe as they do.

Its funny how little repsonsibility people will take in other's actions. If someone has something good happen to them, it was because of God. Not because of luck, fortune, or the efforts of others.

If something bad happens, it was either God's mysterious work for the overall good, or it was Satan, or it was misguided others. Not luck, not fortune, not misunderstandings, not conflict of interests.

So I'm willing to bet the majority of Christian answers you get will show no negativity towards their religion in these practices, but will rather pass the buck onto someone else.

Interesting indeed...and too easy.

You are being critical of God and that's good. God wants you to "be discerning".

Jesus Himself was offered "all the cities of the world" by Satan if He would renounce God the Father. Jesus told him to go pound sand.

It's true. This world is "lying in the power of the wicked one". This is Satan's world. No doubt about it. But time is running out for God's Accuser.

I don't recommend you fall in with him.

But you do what you want. God knows you have the power to choose between good and evil.

I think you've got it backwards. All lthat violence that has been done in the name of Christianity is more like people trying to pull the wool over God's eyes.
HINT: It isn't working......

Well let's see ... Jesus allowed Himself to be humiliated, abused, tortured and murdered so that I could have eternal life, joy, peace and fulfillment. Satan seeks to destroy me and to drag me down into the pit of eternal horror with him. Let me think now. Which of the two would I prefer as a friend?

Do not mix up
Your facts may be right, But the fault lies with the people doing it, not the religion itself, I realize that is hard to accept. But that is truth.
