Something is troubling me much. It’s how people keep saying you have to be a certain religion to go to heaven, and that most people are going to hell, because they don’t do what God asks of them. This troubles me because first of all, we don’t even choose to be born, then we find ourselves here on this Earth, and there are so many bad things going on, so much pain and suffering and sorrow and hate in the world, and after all that, we will go to hell, it really troubles me, this is terrible, don’t you agree with me?

Should we use the LAW when we Evangelize to reach the concience of people when preaching. Once they understand their sin, is it not then easier to tell them about God's love and grace for those who believe in Jesus Christ who died to pay for our sins? Whatya think folks ???

Is it written in the bible? When we die here, I know our souls either go to hell or heaven but they're not destroyed, are they?
Please if you know a verse in the bible that shows that our souls live forever, let me know.

Not just Freedom of Religion? Doesn't it stand to reason that people who don't share your views might also have valid opinions? Doesn't it stand to reason that people who disagree with your views might also have used some critical thinking to arrive at their views? Or is your world view the only valid one? The one spoon fed most people by churches and parents without ever having to use your brain to think for yourself? I absolutely respect anyone's right to religion as long as they arrived at their beleif/faith without pressure from others.

Can anyone understand why would the pope apologize if he was quoting from a medieval book and he didnt invent events he was quoting history.. He happens to mention it at this time because he wanted to send a message that faith cannot be linked to violence which is true , faih and violence are not compatible , God is love not violence

Not that i'm an atheist, this is my take on it:
In the beginning , the heavens and earth were still one and all was chaos. The universe was like a big black egg, carrying Pan Gu inside itself. After 18 thousand years Pan Gu woke from a long sleep. He felt suffocated, so he took up a broadax and wielded it with all his might to crack open the egg. The light, clear part of it floated up and formed the heavens, the cold, turbid matter stayed below to form earth. Pan Gu stood in the middle, his head touching the sky, his feet planted on the earth. The heavens and the earth began to grow at a rate of ten feet per day, and Pan Gu grew along with them. After another 18 thousand years, the sky was higher, the earth thicker, and Pan Gu stood between them like a pillar 9 million li in height so that they would never join again.
When Pan Gu died, his breath became the wind and clouds, his voice the rolling thunder. One eye became the sun and on the moon.

I'm in a horrible dillema that's been going on for far too long. I'm ready to quit. I have this porn addiction where I can't seem to stop myself from looking at the evil crap. I've prayed for these women many times because of the affects they've had on me. All I want is to be free. I've asked God to help me many times but the main reason it's not working is because of me. He'll help me but I can't seem to help myself. I've tried to stay off the pc but when I'm outside girls where the tightest clothes and my eyes just lock on them.

Although I can try to come up with a few, I'm curious.

If we have proven things now that were only myth to some before, would they have been right all along.

The implications is that I'm trying to prove a point, possibly, but I am very curious on examples.

I was answering another question and this came to me. What is the standard of good? (I know what my opinion is, but I would like some thoughts from other people.)
If a person is good, then we should just live and let live?!? But WHO says what good is? I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't do drugs. I am basically a nice person, I treat others as I would want to be treated, if I have a lot of items at the store and the person behind me has just one I let them go in front of me. I don't sleep around, my husband was the one I lost my virginity to on our wedding night. Am I good person?
What is good enough? Does the law determine what is good enough? Do your morals determine? And is there absolute truth?

That they'll be glad to see the atheists burning in hell for the "sin" of not accepting Jesus as their personal savior.
Then they end their post with "God bless".
A tad hypocritical in my opinion. What do you think?

I have seen many people who call themselves Christians fall away. But were they True converts in the first place? I know that I am a true born again Christian and there is no way that a person could lose their salvation once they are saved - if they are really saved. We shall know them by their "Fruit" What do you think ???

Last night, I focused on a pencil for 30 minutes straight attempting to move it. At one point, I was able to mentally lift the pencil at least 10 inches in to the air above the table. Has anyone else ever heard of anything similar to this? I was able to recreate it once today with a paper clip.

He is said to be the ruler of the Heavens-and litterally thousands of churches have been built and he has not been seen in one-NO NOT ONE! I can't remember anything in all of the religious text I have consumed ever having heard of one prophet being in church of the faith that they were designing-Jesus was a carpenter-HE DID NOT BUILD A CHURCH-ok-well at least nothing mentions him using his skills to do so-he was a skilled carpenter however-did he ever make crucifixes for the Romans to use-OH MY GOD YOU BLASPHEMOUS MAN! HOW DARE YOU INsinUATE my saviour doing such a thing! Well hell SAVED ONE-I can't figure out this mans calling himself a carpenter-hell he knew how to fish better than most_Throw thy nets there!" He knew a quick recipe for wine"even while a minor"-he was good at demolition-completely destroying the merchants market-(which incidently contradicted "turning the other cheek"huh! but mostly he healed the sick and diseased-and stained his Cross Red-(RED CROSS) Y Not DR. JESUS?
