It is by the grace of God and only by the grace of God can anyone stand in the first place.
Pray for the athiest dont bash them on this site there is enough negativity in this world to last 3 lifetimes.
God is the ultamate jugde of others we are to love oneanother, If the greatest of these is love, then what is the greatest sin?

That they are shortsighted, and dig their own heads into the sand. The truth is that we all will get what we deserve. Reciting religious texts and visiting churches does not make anyone a better person. Live your every day as if it were your last, and treat your fellow human being the way you would want to be treated in their place, is what matters. I know self-proclaimed "atheists" who live like this. Let it be put on record: They are closer to God, than those who have their mouth full of religious claims, but their hearts are filled with bitterness and animosity.
God is not vane. He does not need anyone's compliments. If you can look in the evening at your face in the mirror and say to yourself: "I have lived an honest life today", you have done your part, to be accepted by God.

Here is the formula:
The righteous = The Christians
The ungodly = The Unbelievers
Here is the scripture:
Psalm 1:5,6
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
When a believer says that they will be glad to see the atheist burn in hell for the sin of not accepting Jesus, what they are really saying (I PRAY) is that they will be glad when Jesus comes and judges the earth because they are TIRED of living amongst the wicked! Righteous and unrighteous don't live very harmoniously, as you can tell (if you live on earth). It's not personal (or at least it shouldn't be) because we really do love all others, and really do want to see them saved and with us...we're just tired of living with, in and around sin.
Peace to you (since you don't like "God bless!") *smile*

I agree, definately hypocritical. Even if I believe that only those who recieved salvation will go to heaven, i don't think that's the best way to go about sharing that truth.
Look at how Jesus did ministry, I mean after all, we're supposed to model his life, right? He LOVED the sinners, the tax collectors, the people who were the outcasts, the lepors, the most shunned. I know I've said this before, but Jesus showed God's love by loving people. What some Christians forget is that God loves everyone, even the athiests. While they might feel a sinful pride at seeing an athiest go to hell, God will feel good with his justice, but unhappy that this person missed out on his love and glory, that they never got to feel it.
I think people who find it neccessary to stand on a mountain and shout about how everyone is going to hell ought to read through the gospels a couple more times. you catch more flys with honey than you do with vinegar! and jesus didn't stand around pointing at people saying, "HAHAH! YOU'RE GOING TO BURN IN HELL! " nope. I definately DONT think so.

I feel sorry for them that they don't see all contradictions in the bible and that they have to live with the fear for hell. I've had it happen to me a few times, just for sharing my thoughts about that I don't believe in a god, after someone shares his or her thougthts about their god with me first. Normally I'm just stunned, like I see a terrible accident happen, because it can come from very nice people that I really don't expect to say such horrible things. Many times I hardly know what to say except for "that's not gonna happen". Later on I've tried to have discussion with these people about if I'm a criminal or something like that, but in the word of god I really seem to be one, just for not believing there is a god..
I thinks it's very insulting and denigrating. They only drive me further away from any kind of religious thoughts (if I ever had any). I can't imagine they believe in such a vindictive god.
The worst thing is they will treat their children the same way or even worse. Indoctrinating them with the worst fear a human can have: the fear what what we can not know. I consider this mental child molestation.

A tad? I'd say they're neck deep in hypocracy. People who make pathetic, empty threats in the hope of scaring someone into belief. These are the same type of people who emphatically tell others that the Bible is not used to control people, but is about Love. *Sigh* Their own book talks about people who speak out "both sides of their mouth". Cursing one moment and then blessing in the same breath. They prove the point that religion is used to control others.

Heh, I think they're insecure, and afraid they might be wrong. They're looking for validation of something that even they can see is unbelievable, and trying to scare people into thinking the same way. They close with "God bless", because they know they are not supposed to judge people, according to their own book, but they are doing it anyway, and using the "God bless" as a way to try to cancel it out.

People seek out religion that agrees with what they already want and then hide behind it. For example if they like to beat children they hide behind spare the rod spoil the child in the Bible. If they prefer to beat women then perhaps become a Muslim instead. A mean-spirited individual that loves the though of others suffering will find a religion to help indulge that fantasy so they tend to join certain Christian groups.

What's coming to atheists is dependant on many factors. People become who they believe to be, and then act out the part. Minor and major outside influences reacted upon do alter the dream, but all in all, in the end, what happens is what we will believe what happens.

Atheists think that religious people are stupid. Some religions consider Atheists as closed minded.
Although I am Jewish, I can still value thei ideas of ANtheism. Many Atheists are far beeter people that some religious folks today.
My persona feeling is that if your religion makes you a better person to peopl of other faihts, or no faiht, then your are getting the correct thngs from your religion. If you religion causes you to look down on others, you need to look at another religion.
