So obviously when monotheism became prominant, the status of women went down the tubes. All of this Paulian nonsense about asking your husband to ask something in church rather than speaking and stuff like that is a good example, but the OT is full of similar crapola. The Koran, from what I can tell, has been misinterpreted to the detriment of women.

Usually, people say that this was done by patriarchal societies to control women, but I think it was more likely done as religious propaganda to dissuade people from Goddess worship.

How many Jews and Christians today know what the Shekinah is? It strikes me that the early monotheistic religions did not supress the Feminine, but we do today.

Adam & Eve had 2 sons Kain & Abel, right?

How can two MEN go forth, copulate and spawn a single ancestor never mind a whole bible full?

"Because if one cannot believe what is written in the bible then it has no purpose or meaning."

So, if you are already doubt what the Bible says, don't believe in it, think it is fictional, etc.etc. then why can't you just let it be at that??? You don't believe, we do. What is the point of asking questions here about something you believe to be fake?? Not to mention, ask questions that really have no profound effect on people's lives now??? Even when answered honestly, you still don't believe because you already "know" it's not true. So is the point of all this to play "devils advocate"? If we cannot prove our stance to you, what makes you think you can prove your stance to us?????

Judgement and unforgiving attitudes cause the Ph of your body/blood to go up. Prayer and forgiveness alkalize. Our hearts or obtaining more plaque the more judgemental we are//

Could it be we need to look into a more alkalizing diet??

Cleaning your heart means you will actually feel chains leave. Locks that were locked are opened again, old ways opened like in one of them psalms. Did you know He is in your Heart all chained up?? That we need to save Him and find our true self in order for Him to save us??

It says somewhere this is what God calls loving Him: Free yourself from what binds you, what does that mean ??

I already see a pattern of people picking Judism.

I myself picked it. What do you think it is about the Atheists and Agnostics on this website that by and large we are all answering that question with Judism, what is the appeal of Judism? Or is it just the other two choices are the sword?

According to the report from women’s right groups, there is a real Sexual Apartheid in Iran which is ruled by Islamic Sharia Low. Basically women and men are forced to be segregated in public! 1) You're religion is the only true religion, and everyone who does not believe in it will be damned in the end.

2) That all the events described in the Bible are literally true--with authority even over scientific discovery.

3) That Jesus really died and was raised from the dead.

Do you think someone can righfully call themself a Christian if they do not believe any or all of these things?

I am curious as to why the main focus of alot of questions here are.....If Adam and Eve were the first two people then how did we get all these other people? Did they sleep with their children?? And the same goes for Noah and his family... These are absolutely retarded questions!!! Why does it really matter?? Where does a question like this really fit into the broad scheme of everything?? Why did mother nature not evolve our sight cause we have to sheild our eyes from the sun, what other life form does this? also why do we require tetinus injections to fight against the poisons of common dirt. Surely mother nature would have protected us as we evolved from the slime? We had to have been Created the way we are and could not have evolved.
