If God could make Adam from Clay, why did He need Mary? Why not just make a Jesus like He made an Adam?

He goes through the stages of life.

He got tired of playing with Play-Doh

He wanted to get down and funky.

Would you like a real answer? To fulfill the prophecy regarding the birth of a savior.

Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Mary happened to be in the line that would bring forth the savior, and so was Joseph even though he wasn't the father. If God had made him out of clay, the Jews wouldn't have accepted him since he wasn't from the right house.

I believe that for Christ to be accepted as fully human, He needed to be "born" in the traditional way. Sure God could have just dropped Him down, but then everyone would have believed because He was dropped down - not because they trusted God. I beleve Mary was part of God's plan from the beginning. He wanted His Son to know the full scope of love and human decency, to experience the tenderness of a mothers touch on His life. By asking such a task of Mary - God gave women everywhere a wonderful role model in Christian womanhood.

He didn't need Mary. He chose Mary and Joseph. He had Jesus born into the human race so that he could take the sins of the human race. Jesus being a "born" also allowed him to set examples for us to follow.

Who can really answer this question accurately as none of us really know what GOD thought. however, will give my opinion in the fact that after the first man and lady were created it was up to them to bring others into the world. GOD sent HIS SON JESUS into the world as a mortal, human being so we could relate to HIM. HE was to teach and give us more wisdom and knowledge. then HE was to die on the cross giving us a way back to GOD. without Mary being HIS mortal mother and Joseph his mortal father then JESUS would not have a normal mortal home life and existence to which mankind could relate.

He could, but he wanted Jesus to enter this world in a "natural way" even though Mary didn't have intercourse to conceive him. God prepared Mary since she was born, and when the angel appeared she accepted that honor.

Jesus became a man to fulfill the prophesy in the Old Testament.
He came as man to save us from sin, that is why He was crucified, He is the Lamb of God, the Son of God and He is one with God.

It sure would have made a whole lot more sense, but the reason this could not be done is because Adam and Eve never happen.

It doesn't work that way. It's the other way around. Jesus gave some good talks, rattled some authorities. So the people decided e was the messiah and then decided Mary was a virgin etc... A better question would be why do people need a jesus?

Because it fit the story better. Having Jesus be born from a human adds a touch of drama that makes the story very compelling to the reader. Just look at all the nativity scenes around with "baby Jesus". It was a great marketing ploy.

Besides, they had to write the stories about Jesus to fit the old prophecies. If they had God just create Jesus out of a rib, they would have a harder time explaining how he was "descended from David" like the old prophecies required. They even had Jesus riding two asses at one time to fulfill what they thought one of the prophecies was. (In reality, they had misquoted the prophecy, but they wrote to their misquote of it.)

Luckily, Jesus, if he even existed, had been dead for many decades, so there weren't many around to refute any of the claims of prophecy fulfillment. Though, it did make some of the stories rather strange as they had Jesus jumping through hoops to fulfill them.

He chose Mary. It had to be of virgin birth, so that there would not be any tainted blood. Just like the sacrifices of old, it had to be a perfect sacrifice, without spot or blemish. I also believe that He wanted to show us how to live this life and walk in victory. He showed us by going through it Himself. He is our example. He is who we compare and pattern ourselves after.
