I am curious as to why the main focus of alot of questions here are.....If Adam and Eve were the first two people then how did we get all these other people? Did they sleep with their children?? And the same goes for Noah and his family... These are absolutely retarded questions!!! Why does it really matter?? Where does a question like this really fit into the broad scheme of everything?? What are you trying to prove by asking a question like this??

I know. We're here aren't we? Let's just be thankful for that and not bite the hand that feeds us (so to speak).
The problem is that there are a lot of people out there that make it their life's work to be devil's advocate in any and every situation they can. We pretty much just need to ignore those kinds of people because they are always going to stir the pot....they always want to get a rise out of people. Whether they're on one side of the fence or the other...these people are the same. They will always thurst for attention and that is one way they know they will always get it.
I completely understand what you're saying! It's just ignorance and disrespect of others.

God told Adam and Eve to go forth and multiply and that is what they did. There was no such thing as incest because if there were we would not be hear not. So I would imagine that they did sleep with there children and brothers slept with sisters and so on. Remember, we are all brothers and sisters in the eyes of God.
The same holds true with Noah, Noah had sons that had wife's so they replenished the earth also. So you may ask yourself who is the real parents, Adam and Eve or Noah. Well it is still Adam and Eve that started the whole replenish the world thing.

Its because there are people who want to know if the Bible is really a work of fiction. Why? because these people are intelligent and have considered questioning the faith that they were raised on.
Wouldn't you like to know if what you were taught was the truth or a bunch of lies, fantasies and fiction?
If this is the case, how are you to determine the difference between right and wrong, if all you've been taught are extemist b.s. by fanatics with their own hidden agenda?
cheers!!

I think its just another misguided, mean spirited way for people to attempt to criticize, ridicule and demean Christians and Christian beliefs. Its really quite remarkable really that people would feel a need to do that but unfortunately its happening everyday. Christians are the last and only religion you can still make fun of and ridicule.

For sake of argument, let us say both stories are true. Incest is a bad thing, but it would be promoted because that is how we all got here according to the bible. I have no problem being related to everyone on the planet. I do have a problem with incest.

Why not? A lot of Christians try to sell the Noah's Ark story as fact, so those are all valid questions. Besides, what's wrong with asking?

It is important because there are people who believe the bible is the actual word of some god who has as it's end goal, the destruction of the world. It is important to cut their basis for this belief to shreds before they can seize power and MAKE their make-believe god's prophesies come to pass.

It's ridiculous! It's almost as bad as the people that ask why people ask certain questions. It's like they think there's some powerful super psychic that can read everyone's mind.

It fit the story better. How would you get converts if there weren't any bad apples or floods? The Bible would be, "God created Adam and Eve and they lived happily ever after." You won't get converts with that. You need characters and conflict.
