I will not hesitate to forgive someone if they express genuine sorrow and repent of their wrongdoing, but is it appropriate to forgive them if they don't? Jesus said, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." Do you think God forgives those who repeadly blaspheme His name and show no sorrow for their actions? What are your thoughts on what Jesus said as he hung there dying on the cross?

(Isaiah 20:2)" at the same time the Lord spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, 'Go, and remove the sackcloth from your body, and take your sandals off your feet.'
And he did so, walking naked and barefoot." (See the rest in the OT).
The poor man was ordered by God to go naked for 3 years, not allowed so much as a g-string, bcs he sinned. I'm asking all Christians and Jews - please follow the Bible or Torah. When you sin, go naked for 3 years. At least, the price of clothing will be reduced.

If God created humans and the earth to try and spread his love and affection towards people, how come I'm hearing this theory that in the future we'll die out. So, where does that leave God and why would he waste his time to create humans when he knows we won't exist in the future?

Since it is a fact that pre-Judeo-Christion cultures regarded the snake as a symbol of wisdom, is the legend of St. Patrick subversive? Did St. Patrick, by bringing Christianity to Ireland, in effect drive away wisdom?

We never hear about it in scripture, but I'm just curious as to what you all think. If you think he did, what did he laugh at? What would Jesus consider funny. This is a serious question, so please answer accordingly.

Okay, Let’s say I have been on a few dates- because I have... I never mislead anyone by saying I am an atheist and that I am just waiting for the right man to come along and convert me, cause it’s not gonna happen!
I am very open and up front about who I am, in fact I think I am pretty okay.
So why would someone be attracted to the person that I am and then want to change/convert me?
On a grander scale why would God (if he is the big Kahuna) create me in his likeness, give me an inquisitive, doubting nature than punish me for it?
Hardly seems fair…

Fact is, people vote based on anything from appearance to religion. That's irresponsible, but a major fact in this country. So, when the religious majority elects an irresponsible leader, we get religious influence imposed on the country. There are no "checks and balances" for concentrating power around this kind of underlying motive, and it scares the hell out of me. Anyone else?

I read that Jesus is God

Christianity is a monotheistic religion - ie ONE GOD

God "impregnated" Mary and had a kid. But if Jesus is God then how can there be God God and Jesus God? That would make it a polytheistic religion which is "bad" because you are not allowed to worship others other than God himself. But if God is God and has a demi god child....?? Isn't that polytheistic?

Please explain - or is this one more inconsistent thing in this religion

I am Mormon. I believe in Jesus Christ, and that he is our Savior. My husband is only married to me, and I don't know anyone with more that one wife. I believe in and study the bible along with the Book of Mormon. I don't belong to a cult. I just don't understand why people believe things that are completely untrue, especially when they come from people who apparently know nothing about our church.

So many people think I look young in this hat. It must be magic. I enjoy being thought of as younger than I am though because people underestimate me and assume me to be unintelligent. I guess it doesn't click that I have a much larger vocabulary than them.

Is my hat endowed with a gift from God, blessed by his noodly appendage or simply a coincidence to make me look younger?
The original question also applies: Should everyone get one so others can underestimate them as well?

I was under the Impression that Kosher is the name of the Jewish dietary laws. Food in accord with halakha (Jewish law) is termed kosher. But a friend (with Jewish friends) claims that only if a Rabbi has blessed it, and only then can food and everything else be kosher. I don't know and I don't know how to find out.

I love God,& try to follow his word, but sometimes I get so tired of other people. At times, I feel so beat down by the things people say about God&Jesus that it just bewilders me. I see&hear it everywhere. Theres always a challenge to prove myself&my beliefs. I realize Christianity has a bad rap because of some people that go around judging others& condemning them to hell, which is NOT what God wants. Yes this is wrong, but why apply what some do, to the group as a whole? I know my job is to mission, but gosh, some things in the Bible, I don't have an answer for, yet I believe it. I feel bad when I don't have an answer for the questions people ask& when saying "I have faith" isn't enough for them. Then, some people will make a comment about God, that's deliberately vicious, but what can I do? Nothing. For instance, this question will probably be ridiculed, just for being posted. I accept that people have different thoughts&beliefs, but why can't they accept mine in return?

Okay, here's a big question. How close does Harry Potter follow real Witchcraft beliefs? Are the spells in there real? What is fake about the Harry Potter books in relationship to the actual religion of Witchcraft (sorry if I'm using the wrong words here, so correct me if I'm wrong).

Thanks! I know this could be a long post, but I would like to find out from people who actually practice witchcraft on this. Any information you would like to share would be appreciated.

Okay, I am curious now. On Yahoo answers when there is questions involving the bible, certain people keep saying that the bible is a fictional book written by a man or men. Well, maybe these people know something that we christians do not & have this information stashed away as they seem so certain of their information. So, I want 2 know too. Cant be a fool forever. So prove that the bible is fictional & not inspired by God using cold ,hard facts. And to those who is going to say that the reason is because God isnt real. Then prove that God is not real. Clear, concise, factual, logical reasons that can stand up in a court. I want answers that if I was God himself, I would believe that I cannot be real & I had nothing 2 do with the bible.
