Ever notice that while there are hundreds of people who claim to be the second coming of Jesus, no one ever tries to impersonate other religious figures? Why don't we see more viariety in our second comings?

10 year old Natascha Kampusch was stollen from her family 8 years ago and held prisoner by a stranger who kept her in a cell in his basement. She escaped yesterday and has been re-united with her family.
I feel so much empathy for this young lady and her family. I can not even imagine what they must have gone through and what they are still going through.
Please join me in praying to God for their emotional, spiritual, and physical health.
Father God, thank you for releasing Natascha from her cruel captor. Please bless this family and send your Holy Spirit to them to comfort them in this hour. God, please bless all families of missing children. Please bless and protect all innocent prisoners who are being held all over the world tonight. God, we need your intervention. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Everyone, please add your prayers to mine. I don't understand why everything happens as it does, but God is able.

Recently, in my studies I came across Revelations 19:12....If Jesus has a name written that no one knows, but he himself, then what will Christians call him when he returns?

Apparently, we are all born sinners. How is this possible? I can think of very little that we did before birth that would be a sin. Except for something like, causing our mother pain during pregnancy or something.

But how can we be born sinners? Does this suggest that it is a sin to exist?

Several studies have investigated the relationship between intelligence and the degree of religious belief (excluding humanism), with most showing that intelligence averages decrease significantly with the "importance of religion" an IQ testee rates as apt. But most studies chiefly show that people with religious beliefs have lower IQ's and tend to be less educated.

Before you give a list people who were smart and had religion, let me give one that didn't. Albert Einstein! he quotes-
"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly."
I know nothing except the fact of my ignorance.-Socrates(The Original Agnostic)
This is not a strong enough argument to prove religion to be false but it is an intresting phenomena.

A good majority of Christians believe that the Bible is the inspired (by God), innerant Word of God. How many people here think that if the Bible was proven to be errant (which it can be), that it can no longer believe to be inspired?

If one understands satan's role, does one actually become more powerful than satan because his role is understood? Is satan at our disposal?
If the perception is of him being evil, does that give him power over one that holds this belief?
Can we eliminate evil and substitute it for willingness to understand?
