Although I never really spoke alot in tongues, I tried it once when first introduced to it. I thought I had a word or two in tongues. And I felt quite silly even at the time as a christian, but spoke them anyway. The words in tongues 'I received' actually were in my head. I didnt make them up at least conscously. I understand its got more to do with the nature of stong delusion rather than truth.
So yeah I initialialy felt silly, and I think it was this feeling that it was silly that played a part in helping me to learn better.

no the first time i heard it when i was 6 my mom was speaking in tongue. my brother and i used to sit on her bed and she would read the bible to us when she got to the holy spirit i asked her what was that and then she started speaking in tongue we left out cause we knew what time it was by the time i was 16 i went to this church were they were seeming trying to teach you to speak in tongue and it threw men off. it wasn't until i was born again in 96 that understood the gift of speaking in tongue and i didn't feel silly seemingly cause when i was giving birth to my son in 88 i spoke in tongue All through the labor, now that was silly to me then cause the nurses and my family was looking at me liken i was crazy

Never spoke in tongues and just as Acts says, not everyone will and everyone is blessed with a different gift from the Spirit.

Nope, but that's only because everyone else around me sounded like an idiot speaking the other language, so I didn't feel silly, because I knew I was learning, and I wasn't used to speaking those sounds. So, I didn't feel silly at all! Only because my peers were all as bad as I was, but I never felt silly.

Yea, I have read about the gift of tongues. I just don't believe that Da Da Da and De De De was ever a spoken language, except by babies.

No, because it was a gift that I had been seeking for years. Now, I frequently speak in tongues, but more often when I am in my prayer closet, than when I am in church. GOD bless.

I don't speak in tongues, and to be honest, what kind of gift does speaking in 'unkknown tongues' provide? If no one can understand you, your just a babbling nut.
