Quran is a true book of God, eveyone accept because no one can write a book like that in the old age, even now, so why non-muslim do not embrass Islam?

The Bible is made up of the Old and New Testaments. I am a Christian, and from my point of view I find that the Old Testament is only used in bits and pieces and not taken as a whole, mainly because it can be contradictory and/or impose unneccesary laws, such as not eating pork. Why do we still use it when it only seems to cause problems? I mean, I don't remember anything in the NT about having to obey the Old Testament. I know that we tout the Ten Commandments as being important, but I would like to know where Jesus says for us to obey them. The only times that I remember Jesus saying laws was Love God with all your heart, mind, and body and love your neighbor as yourself. In a way, this sums up the Ten Commandments. Anyone's thoughts on this would be appreciated because I think "throwing out" the OT would help us in many ways.

I'm so glad the Iranians are doing this. It exposes not only their hypocricy, but also their hatred towards Jews and their childish primitive mentality. They will be so baffled when people don't call for the death of the cartoonists or burn down embassies.

Who else thinks the world's reaction to the anti-Jewish cartoons will only make the terrorists and Jew haters look even stupider?

A good friend, a married man, several years your senior, from your church. Then, he starts to tell you how lovely you are, sometimes quite suggestive in a low key way etc. Outwardly he's blustery, but really quite sensitive underneath. You know it's not right they way he talks to you, and the way it makes you feel, but what do you say? What if it's just talk? What if you really want to keep him as the good friend he is? Do I need to add more info? Help!

I'll be working at a live-in job soon, and one of my co-workers is an extremely preachy Christian. I need a polite way to let him know that religion is not up for discussion with me, I am happy in my own religion, have tried Christianity before, and am not interested.

I'm a bit nervous because I can't be offensive to him if he refuses to stop preaching (which is generally my normal approach if someone keeps going after my initial "I don't want that" response), it wouldn't look good at work, but it's a live-in job and I won't be able to get away from him either. So... I need a nice way to do it.

Christians, what could I say that would work the best to get left alone on this topic?

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:
Allah's Apostle said, "Who is willing to kill Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?" Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, "O Allah's Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?" The Prophet said, "Yes," Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab). "The Prophet said, "You may say it." ... If stands to reason that in light of the evidence of the universe ageing, there had to be a beginning and grudgingly he also admitted that for there to be a beginning there had to be some sort of thought in initiating it. he refused to accept a relational God, but could not reject the idea of a creative force. What are your thoughts.

Two people are walking along the street, one a believer and one an atheist. They run into a gang of street thugs.

The believer says, "I will pray to God to protect us that they don't rob us and hurt us."

The atheist says "Screw this, I'm out of here." and takes off.

The believer gets his money etc. stolen and lays there beaten up and thinks "Hey, I lived through this, thanks for testing me God."

The atheist gets away with all his money and hasn't gotten beaten up because he didn't waste his time putting his faith in this believer's God. A god which is obviously incapable of helping even with a sincere prayer. The atheist put matters into his own hands.

Prayers aren't answered. This is a do it yourself world, so you better start doing it yourself.

1st most fun part is knowing we win in a few years.
2nd most fun part?

For me, the 2nd most fun part is seeing all of the Christians who claim gay marriage isn't valid because the gays can't reproduce. Are those same Christians protesting the marriages of sterile couples as well? Damn, they're mean! ;)

Keep your religion, I'll keep mine. Let's not force them on each other and live happily ever after.

So what are your thoughts about the 2nd most fun part of being on the gay side of the gay marriage movement? (Other than knowing you'll be on the winning side soon.)

ok, im 17, and i really like this girl, shes what i want, dont need to elaborate. the beef is shes christian and im an atheist. i dont see this as a problem to myself, i love to debate impartially, and refuse to judge people based on things like religion. the question here is: christian girls, do you usually have a problem (or would you) dating an atheist. also, christian parents, would you have a problem with it? i would appreciate any opinion.

He won't go Catholic, because of the perverted priests.
He won't go Baptist, because they're racists.
He won't go Evangelical, because they're homophobic bigots.
He won't go Mormon or Jehovah, because they're cults.
I am Catholic myself, so I don't know much about the other religions. Please help!!!!

"Thou shalt not bear false witness." (lie)

Yesterday I asked what the penalty for owning a Bible is in Saudi Arabia.
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ApILRuyvI8iHnKZNmXHzufQgBgx.?qid=20060817115708AA8rnNF
Moolsims came out of the woodwork and said there is no penalty. I was given a great link that answered my question. Here is the truth...

The public practice of any religion other than Islam, including Christianity and Judaism, the presence of churches, and open possession of Christian religious materials are outlawed in Saudi Arabia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saudi_Arabia#Culture

Sadeq Mallallah (or Malallah, 1970-1993) was a citizen of Saudi Arabia. In September of 1993 he was beheaded in Qateef for the crime of owning a Bible.

What makes it OK for Mooslims hide the truth?
