Good deeds...?

Question

I'd like to do one good thing everyday for the rest of my life (starting from tommorow), but i'm not sure what classifies as a good deed. So I was wandeing if you could please give me some examples?

Generally it means doing things that goes to benefit oneself and others in way whether seen or felt. Examples"
1. Giving to charity and friends, etc or kind gentle words spoken.
2. Not killing, even insects or saving lives of insects as well.
3. Not taking things or emotional feelings from others without permission.
4. Not mis-conducting your sexually with others.
5. Not cheating and lying to others
6. Respecting your parents, elders, friends and co-workers.
7. Picking up that piece of paper that is lying on the playground because it should be there.
8. Cleaning up your own room
9. Not smoking in front of your friends who doesn't smoke becauseit irridate them, and
10. Pay the taxes you are purpose to pay, etc.

Simple things such as holding doors open for people and saying excuse me on when you bump into someone will go alot further than helping an old lady across the street or giving money to a charity. Seriously, I can't stand rudeness from people. For reall good deeds try working at a hospital or homeless shelter. Most local libraries are always looking for people to help out in some shape or form. Good luck with making the world a better place.

A good deed can be anything that benefits someone else around you. If you see someone in trouble, help them. If you see someone looking sad, smile and say hello. A good deed can be anything.

Unfortunately, being a good person and doing good deeds will not bring you closer to God until you come to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior. When you have the love of God to share with others, you will be able to do good deeds with sincerity and humility.

I would classify a good deed as something you do for the betterment of others, without thought for personal gain.

Help an old lady cross the street
Give a homeless person something to eat

something along those lines.

Helping others is a good deed you can do everyday. Everywhere you go I'm sure you can find someone who needs help. Maybe a homeless needs money, or a co-worker needs a ride home, or someone is stuck on the side of the rode and need a jump, or maybe a loved one needs someone to talk to.

I believe a good deed is an act that helps another individual or group, and it is done in love and without any expectation of return. It can be as simple as holding the door open for someone with their arms full, or as complicated as volunteering for a worthy humanist organization.

u start smiling to everybody, and then pray for other people, if somebody asked for help, do as much as u can, wether advice, or even financial problem...u could also donate to people who are victims of so many disasters right now...make somebody smile...appreciate good things and give encouraging words...thats the start!

praying, charity ,and believing there is no god but allah and mohammad is his messager, take good care of your mother and father ,listen to what the have to say and what they tell you to do and most of all respect your mother three times better than your father b-cuz she has given you brith and took good care of you and told you how to be kind to others. smiling is another way of charity being kind to other and friendly too!
