upsets the applecart and you fall into turmoil?

These instances used to make me question my spiritual centering until I found the answer in a question, who is in contol? You or God? When I am in contol of things, I am totally out of control. Thank you All for being here,

Peace and Love

Actually, I learned to "let go and let God" awhile ago. When I'm on a spiritual high, I just enjoy it.

Think about a real life example such as climbing a ladder. The higher you go, the smaller your base and the harder it is to keep your balance. When you get to the very top even the slightest breeze can blow you over and send you crashing to the ground.

However, if you take the time to build yourself a solid platform as you go higher, your base stays just as solid as you go higher as it was when you were on the ground.

This is the way to build your life as well. Keep yourself grounded and on a solid footing, build your happiness and well being a little at a time. Those quick highs are great but the fall is terrible.

It's actually how your mind works.

Everyone's life - at all types of events and statures - have ups and downs. While your family life is going up, your business life may be going down. Sometimes, people build things in such a way that either everything is going up at once, or evreything is falling down at once.

So, this is how it works:

Imagine you were in my shoes. Your 1 week vacation was coming up. During that 1 week off of work, however, it's also finals week for School. In that time period, you're getting a new puppy. You also paid for a fence that will be installed in the week - meaning you will have to deal with the dogs, and the new dogs, etc; and the workers... Your girlfriend suddenly decides to invite her mother over for the week. Also, your car breaks down, and girlfriends car is due for maintenance. Finally, also, in that one week you want to add some time to relax - since it is, after all, your vacation. Oh, and my birthday is smack in the middle of the whole mess.

The weeks previous to this, everything felt out of control - I saw this coming, and I knew it was coming. I planned for it. I feared it. I worried about it. I constantly fumbled back and forth on how I was going to best prioritize everything, so that I could meet my #1 goal: To have a good Vacation. During the whole time I changed my mind back and forth, I kept dropping and picking things back up. I felt out of control.

However, because I did spend so much time thinking about it - I was in fact, making myself ABLE to gain control.

Now that everything is occuring - and it feels like I'm going through "the storm" - everythign is happening very well. I'm caught up in all work due, and basically - it's been a blast. All I have left to do is relax and enjoy all the hard work that I put into this BEFORE it happened.

So yes, while The Way The Mind works may mistify people and they feel like "God is carrying them" - it's actually perfectly explainable through psychology.

i noticed a while back that when i say i'm leaving it in God's hands , then i would go and take charge myself, things would end up even worst. now, that i have matured in Christ, i leave them in His hands and let them stay, until He let's me know its time to move, and if you truly believe and trust that He has more sense than you, He never fails you. it would just be like an instantanous thought or movement in you, a sought of urgency to get it done. God is good people! sometimes i could be just listening to a song about Him and get on a Spiritual High. it use to seem strange to my family, but now they just say, oh it's mom in one of her worshipping states. even now, when things aren't going so great, i still give Him the praise and honor because i know He is still with me.
Peace and Love to you also!

I here you, the first tough time I experienced as a Christian was two years after being born again and when it happened I thought I had lost my way, had done something wrong, but the lows are going to come for each and every one of us, there the best times for spiritual growth but the worst to endure.

Basicly if you don't let God do His thing in your life and you think you can aid the omnicient, omnipotent God then things aren't gonna go great forever. God can handle all things. It's ok though. If you never had any trials then you'd never build character. keep God first.

Hey i know what you are talking about man: my husband and i both lost our job. But the aweseme thing is that he has giving us a tremendous peace. We dont know how we are going to pay the bills but all we know is that he will provide and that he is in control. Rejoice at all times in the good times and specially in the bad times. Believe me im in that same situation. But i praise my God because their is nothing impossible for him.

I find things tha opposite, actually. Things tend to falla part when I 'leave it to God.' I have the feeling that you don't even realize what you are in charge of in your life, and why would you blame the bat things on yourself, and award the good things to God? Are you saying that you have no self worth whatsoever?

When things go well for me, it's because I made them happen. When I meet a challenge (your "applecart"), I deal with it. No invisible flying god is necessary.
