I am a Christian with an open mind. I have friends who are Hindu, Buddist, homosexual, and atheist. I understand that maybe my friends and I are still friends because the issue of belief has never come up. ( If it did I do not know if we still would be because of the verbal fighting and all) But I respect all beliefs and lifestyles. I may not aprove of them, but I will tolerant and treat with kindness all people. I'm not going to treat a homosexual as they were not a human being. I am not going to ask frequent questions that question my friends belief in the many gods of Hindu or any other "why" questions. I would like to now who out there-- Christian or not if they feel that everyone should be respected and not bashed because of what they believe.

This book is so full of holes, and contradictions. Do you think one day science will completely debunk the bible? so much has already been debunked. what do you think?

Mine is beautiful waterfalls, palm trees, ocean, white beach, my little dog I loved so much will be there, and there will be a true soul mate who loves me unconditional and it will be a child like love not lustfull. Pastures of beautiful flowers. GOD the protecter will keep us safe forever and we will be blissfully happy and Jesus will be our best friend who died for us and we will live with him in the most unbelievable beautiful Kinddom that my eyes can't even fathom. Mountains, Jewels and the people who looked out for us on earth will be there, my Grandfather. Just peace and joy and safety. No sorrow. and we will worship our GOD and Jesus his son forever!

If so, it is obviously unfair to punish children with sickness. Besides, Jesus supposedly died to free us from O.S. so that can't even explain it. Why would God make kids sick?

If you worship Satan, Then it's obvious that you believe in him. therefor you must believe in God. With that said, after what we know about heaven and hell. How could anyone choose a lake of fire and eternal torture over streets of gold and eternal happiness. My question is this, What do you expect when you get to hell? Is it the same as what we Christians are taught about hell? Or are you taught Differently? What do you think hell is going to be like?

I am aware that Islam does not consider that killing a person who has invaded a territory or who has killed a Muslim is "innocent" so under Islam it is not murder. Also, people from a COUNTRY which has invaded a territory or who has killed a Muslim are not considered to be "innocent", if I understand correctly.

People in the West, however, feel that shahids with cell phone detonators, car bombs or explosives taped to their midriff who kill the infidel, kuffar in the jihad of the cause of Allah - are murdering and mostly murdering INNOCENT people because the people that are dying are not soldiers.

If we assume the universe was created, then it’s reasonable to assume there was a creator. That’s as far as science has progressed today, but just look how far religion has progressed.

Religion states (fact) there was a creator called God, that God still exists, God also created places called Heaven & Hell, God wrote an instruction book called the Bible, God will banish evil people to Hell, God will send good people who follow the Bible to heaven, that people referred to in the Bible (like Jesus) will return to Earth, and a whole raft of other statements of fact. That’s right, religious fact, not assumptions.

Now tell me truthfully, if science doesn’t even know yet whether the universe was created or not, but religious believers state: “not only was the universe created by God, here’s a whole lot more proof and facts to go with it, what do you think?

Do you think that religious believers just have vivid imaginations or suffer from a common mental illness?

With regards to baptisms and/or confirmations....this is supposedly "holy" water used during these ceremonies. Chances are good this is the same water that came out of some tap in some municipality somewhere in this world and landed in a bottle, similiar to what makes it into a bottle of Ozarka.

What's so holy about that? What makes it holy? The fact that a preacher or minister blesses it or what? I've never understood how this could be declared "holy" water?

It's just a question folks...don't shoot me for it.

If so, does that mean that "right" and "wrong" are not real things? Shooting my question in the foot here, but here's an example: You can only save one---your child or his friend---from falling off the cliff. (kind of a "Good Son" rip off) No right thing to do, no wrong thing to do. Only your own selfishness to decide. Does this kind of situation mean that right and wrong are artificial ideas?
