This book is so full of holes, and contradictions. Do you think one day science will completely debunk the bible? so much has already been debunked. what do you think?

I think science has long since debunked the Bible, but the mentally ill continue to believe unfortunately.

The Bible is Trash.

The Bible is the biggest load of garbage and codswallop ever written by man, and I’m sure it will go down in history as the greatest load of gobbledygook ever to inflict such traumatic mental and physical damage on humanity, but still today, some people sadly believe the Bible to be true. That’s very sad indeed. Very sad.

When people quote various passages from the Bible, for example ...

Mathew 5:29-30 God encouraged self-mutilation.
Isaiah 13:15-18 God allowed women raped and little children slaughtered.
Genesis 6:11-17 and 7:11-24 God is the greatest mass murder in history.

What happens? Religious people pop up from under every stone with the same old garbage. “That was the old Bible, or we’ve changed the meaning, or we’ve changed the context, or the quotes are out of context or or or, excuse after excuse.”

The fact is, they are Bible quotes, and the Bible is full of evil atrocities which religious people continually cover up, yet seem happy to drum into the minds of gullible little children. This is such a shameful disgrace in a civilised world.

If religious people are unable to apply commonsense and logic to develop a simple moral code to live by, then perhaps they could strip out of the Bible the evil, murders, rapes, abuse, and all traumatic references. Granted there will not be a lot left to read, but at least religious people may end up with a decent moral code to follow based on good, and not scare the living daylights out of innocent little children.

Unfortunately, I dont think science will ever debunk the Bible... I can give an example too.....

For the past 2000 years, the world was beleived to be flat. In the Bible, Isiah states that the earth "is a circular sphere that hangs in the Heavens." Of course, the Chruch ignored this passage for centuries, as it was in conflict with several other passages in the Bible that said the earth was flat or was on the back of a turtle... Ill remind you that Galileo was KILLED by the Church for putting forth the idea that the earth was circular and not the center of the universe....
We now have definite proof that the earth is a round sphere that indeed "hangs in the heavens" if that is how you wish to define space. And you know what?? Beleivers in the Bible NOW point out Isiah and how the Bible was "so ahead of its time and ahead of Science" - and they ignore the FACT that the Church denied this for 1800 of the last 2006 years........

So, anything else that science uncovers is certainly open for interpretation inside the Bible. Some Biblical scholar will come up with SOME interpretation to say "SEE! I TOLD you it was here in the Bible!!"

It's quite possible.

There again, one day science may well prove that the Bible holds more truths that we think; if we're going to toss the coin we have to remember it has two sides, and not just one.

Either way, it doesn't really matter though, does it? If the Bible were proved to be 100% factual few atheists would become religious, and if it were proved to be a complete fabrication, few religious people would become atheists.

You can tell because a great many people who say they believe in God have never so much as picked a Bible up, much less read or studied it, and a great many "evolutionists" wouldn't know genes from a pair of Levis.

I think that as time goes on, the Bible will be proven more and more to be correct. It has already been more heavily researched and authenticated than any other ancient manuscript. In fact, there is more archeological evidence for what the Bible says than for Ceasar's Gallic Wars or the existance of Troy. Authenticators include not just Christians but also Jews and Pagans of various stripes. Historians and philosophers that were famous in their own day. After a lot of personal research, reading, and hard logical thinking, I have not come up with anything that could reasonably be considered contradictory. And I have tried and have had others try.

Lets see now - science.
Well my friend the way you sound, science is a religion to you.

But "scientists" cant agree on whether global warming is true.
Or lets go back a few years and look at the predictions re Venus.
When I was a kid movies had people dinosaur hunting on Venus. Then the Russians sent a probe and measured temperatures high enough to melt lead.
I'd call that significant error.
North American scientists (probably work for oil companies) say ethanol takes more energy to produce than is in the fuel yet Brazil which grows a lot of its motor fuel says experience proves otherwise.
Dont make a god of science.

It's not full of holes it doesn't have any people twist it, and read it out of context and don't understand messages and stuff. God predicted unbelievers like you would come that's truth and it's in the Bible. The book of Daniel has had I think all of it's prophesies come true and it was written like 600yrs prior to the things that happened. Read, believe, live it and if you think science has debunked it you mean false science and a twisting of the Bible. Your said science supports the bible in everyway. Job tells of things they didn't even know back then like that in the sky was empty space and lots of other neat stuff. your a sad lying Bible hater who knows nothing of true science and the Bible

Oh, please. There are plenty of scientists who are also Christians. There may be some dumb Christians but there are also intelligent ones.
Show me the holes, the contradictions, how it's been debunked. It's been the bestselling book throughout the world for the last few centuries.
People like you who say these kinds of things have usually actually never read the Bible for themselves, and are just picking up on ideas they've heard others saying.

There is no such thing as the "fairy tale bible", but there is the King James version of the Holy Bible. How much of it have you read to determine that it's "so full of holes and contradictions"?

Actually, I think the only thing that will be debunked is man's insistence that God's Word fails and is full of holes. On the contrary, if you want to see how much truth there has been in prophecy for instance, compare the prophecies of Daniel an Revelation to the news on CNN. A lot of it will freak you out. Recall our world history for comparison's sake over the last 60 years or so, and it'll REALLY open your eyes.

Only a non- believer would ask such a question. I would much rather take the chance , assuming that it may be a "fairy tale" and spend an eternity in heaven than to not believe and spend an eternity in hell!
Look around you, to explain this beautiful world away in any other manner than God Almighty is ignorance....and my God said "Ignorance is no excuse"

Yes, through the many authors and translators of the Bible, there are various contradictions. Certain things cannot be overlooked, however - like The 10 Commandments.
