Do the meanings of words change when you are a Christian? Does magical text, that we non-Christians are unable to see pop out? I am so tired of people telling me to read the Bible, especially when I've read it, and am in the process of reading it again, and then when I mention that, I am told I need to believe in Jesus for it all to make sense. So do you have to be an astronaught to understand Star Trek?

For those of you who say God didnt create evil. then you are equalizing Evil with God, in the sense that God has always been and Evil has always been. And if both have always been then how is one more powerful then the other? in reality your creating a second God from evil. unless your saying Satan himself is a god, then your negating the monotheistic (one god) view of christianity and turning it into a polytheism (multiple gods)

Given that Paul put down the rules for building churches, and tithes and such, and Jesus spent most of his time preaching, or more to the point speaking out of doors, and said that the congregation was the church, not the building. I am not refuting the teachings of Christ, just the teachings of Paul.

Romans 1:25
They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

Don't you think Jesus is a creation as well? Just like any other human being? Just like Adam and Eve?

Isaiah 43:13 is my favorite bible verse:
"34:13 And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls."

See what I mean, Dragons! Owls! Cool. If you can think of a better way of making the bible interesting than adding dragons, I'd like to hear it.

Why are all (most) of the religous questions on yahoo answers are questions that are rude and disrespectful to Christians?

my little 3 year old loves the "cartmen cartoon"; and when I tried reading from the Bible to him he sorta looked bored,

Last night was the episode where at the end the Pope asks for the giant spider to come down to see if the can change the Church laws, and the priest says no we arent doing these old laws anymore,

and the people in the home go, oh yeah, the bible is a bunch of stories that teach us life lessons, thats how we should live our lives, or else we will have (stuff) come out of our mouths!

South Parks attacks fundamentalist religion, but it always comes back to "the lesson for today".

For me and my 3 year old son, its Cartmen.

Ladies and gentlemen, which would you prefer your children learn morality from, South Park, or the Holy Bible?

My pentecostal best friend (who keeps telling me to 'have fun in hell') confuses me totally when she talks about the rapture....
Do chritians believe that Jesus will come back as a human, preach, and then take them to heaven? Or will it go down like those 'Left Behind' books...where Jesus is not seen and everyone just dissappears....I hope Hell has cable.....

Christians, why does God keep creating people knowing very well that a certain number will not follow Him and the Holy Bible and some will definitely go to Hell. Isnt he knowingly engaging in a losing battle where he willfully allows for the number of people in Hell to increase, whenever a person does not follow Jesus and the Holy Bible.

Either way you look at it he is playing a losing battle, where the numbers on his side always keep reducing while the numbers on the other side keep increasing? (from 0 at the time of creation to a fairly large population by now).
