Well Christians are like anyone else some like to be right all the time and some will entertain difrferent ideas and then offer their own input. We do have certain beliefs that we hold very true and wont be swayed from our beliefs because our beliefs are strong Faith is a powerful thing but it should never be confused for selfrightousness.

I'm a Christian, and I DO live and let live. It doesn't bother me one little tiny bit if you have no belief. All I'm suppose to do as a Christian is make sure you have been told the truth. After that, my job is done. If you choose not to believe it, that's your problem. All I'm to do at that point is love you as I would love any other human being and be tolerant of your views. I'm not suppose to beat you over the head with my views. I'm not suppose to try to drag you kicking and screaming to the altar for baptism, because God wants you to choose Him of your own free will.
Besides.....what if YOU'RE wrong! I had much rather live my life as if there IS God, and die and find out that there isn't than to live my life as if there isn't a God, only to die and find out there is.

if you knew that your state where you live was going to be bombarded by another country and you were the only one that knew that and that if you could warn people you might save some of them, wouldn't you do it?....of course you would.....Jesus Christ, the first one who set the example to preach the good news about God's kingdom, commanded all true christian to go out and preach the good news about God's kingdom as the only solution to all mankind's problems....so we as Jehovah's Witnessess preach the good news, of God's kingdom as the only solution to all the problems there are in earth, and also we try to teach what others religions don't do.....other religions teach that we have a spiritual soul when we die it goes to heavens,....that is not true, the bible doesn't teach that belief.....we want you to know the truth about it....other religions teach that there is a place called hell, for the bad people,....that is not true , the bible doesn's teach that belief ....we want you to know the truth about it.....other religions teach that if you are good you will go to heavens, once again the bible doesn't teach that belief.....so that's why go to door to door trying to find people that sincere and humble who are willing to do Jehovah's God will.....write back at mil_millones_vivir@yahoo.com

Christians are unable to live and let live because to do so would go against the nature of most of them. Christians, esp. outspoken ones who damn people at every turn, like the negative attention, and seek out people to yell at them for their intolerance. I imagine that they would feel more insecure were people to just ignore them.

Why make assumptions that all Christians are that way? I am a Christian and I am not telling you what you can and can't do. I believe I have the right to an opinion and to let it be known, same as you. My 'duty' as a Christian is to live my live as best I can, to be an example to others, to seek forgiveness of my wrongs, and to treat others as I would want to be treated. My faith makes me a Christian, and my works is simply a showing of love for my fellow humans.

I am Christian and do not believe that I am always right. I also do not believe that my religion is the only one that is right. I think that any religion is great. People need something to believe in. I do not believe in converting people. If they want to become a Christian that is fine, but I will not try to push it on anyone. Faith is a personal choice, and should not be forced on anyone.

it's because they are human, humans are taught their behaviors, and they have been taught to behave in this fashion as a way of promoting/furthering their cause,i.e. the spread of christianity.

this is not a christian trait all its own, it's a human trait, i'm a practicing pagan and i have seen fundementalists on this path as well...

i'm just about sure the only thing we can actively do about this, is to teach our children better than that...

Apparently "loving the sinner and hating the sin" is their definition of "live and let live".

Let them insist they're right. Who the hell cares?

Jehova isn't a war god, he's a god of order and authority, created to give the Jews some form of discipline back when they were crazygonuts U.

Problem is that gods of order are organized such that anyone that doesn't follow them are immediately punished. So in a sense, the natural PROGRESSION makes them a war god. But that's not the original concept. Alas.

Could it be because when someone is wrong(like a child) they keep insisting that they are right to hopefully convince someone that they are correct.
