I am aware that Islam does not consider that killing a person who has invaded a territory or who has killed a Muslim is "innocent" so under Islam it is not murder. Also, people from a COUNTRY which has invaded a territory or who has killed a Muslim are not considered to be "innocent", if I understand correctly.
People in the West, however, feel that shahids with cell phone detonators, car bombs or explosives taped to their midriff who kill the infidel, kuffar in the jihad of the cause of Allah - are murdering and mostly murdering INNOCENT people because the people that are dying are not soldiers.

So yeah, I like your Robbie Burns quotation. It's too deeply horrible that people commit these acts in the name of 'God', they are deceived I would say.

should i say that because the church caused so many witch burnings, then all christians were murderers and that christianity is a religion of hatred and death? or that all roman catholic priests are pedophiles?
And yes, muslim extremists who kill in the name of religion are killers, just like any other kind of extremist. but that is not all-inclusive. muslim extremist is not synonymous with muslim. the latter covers a very wide range of people and beliefs.
but excuse me, to quote your second paragraph, do YOU consider a person who has killed another (be they muslim or otherwise) "innocent"? even the bible says "an eye for an eye", although i do not endorse that.
and NO, God does not want us to kill in His name. Guns don't kill, people do.

By posting a longer then most question does not mean you necessaryily know what you'rre talking about.
Look at the word jihad you take in completely out of context, why, maybe you watch Fox news too much no idea.
Forget Jihad, Islam does not tell muslims to kill innocent people in normal context rather then the weird version you keep mentioning.
