If you worship Satan, Then it's obvious that you believe in him. therefor you must believe in God. With that said, after what we know about heaven and hell. How could anyone choose a lake of fire and eternal torture over streets of gold and eternal happiness. My question is this, What do you expect when you get to hell? Is it the same as what we Christians are taught about hell? Or are you taught Differently? What do you think hell is going to be like?

Not that I am a satanist but I have read the Satanic bible and it actually has little to do with the Christian Bogey man but it is more about Hedonistic pleasure and self expression.

No one out and out worships Satan as a deity. Being that the only texts on Satan are written/invented by Christians, there is no alternative. Satan didn't write an alternative book like the bible for his followers, that would describe his alternatate view on the history of the world etc etc. And since he did not, and all we have to understand his motivations and goals are written in the bible, what kind of rational person would ever want to commit themselves willingly to the torture christians say sinners will ultimately recieve?

Now if you are talking about the "Church of Satan", By Anton LeVay, they do not worship the Christian Lucifer. They merely invoke his name as a boogy man, as a symbol of rebellion. They practice a sort of hedonism, which is focused on the individual, free from influences. There is no direct belief in Satan, the bible, its stories, or god.

If someone does claim they worship "the devil" because the devil speaks to them, they have a mental disorder.

Although I applaud your attempts at trying to go outside our christian world view, you should really read what 3,000 years of great minds have come up with about the topic of religion/faith. Go grab Plato's Republic. There are many good arguements why there needs to be a god, and many good arguments where there can't be a god. And make sure you look up the many maligned evil characters that were christianity's greatest proponents.

Maybe next time, don't ask what others believe, ask WHY you believe what you believe. Do you believe it because it genuinely comes from the corners of your mind, as your own thoughts? Or do you believe in it, because you've just been taught it for a long time. Would you still be a christian if you were born in India?

So keep looking, keep exploring, keep learning, and keep growing as a person.

And one last thing, does heaven's streets need to be paved in gold? Does gold make you happy? Does that really make any sense?

Satanism is self worship- a person who worships Satan is a satan worshipper (and an idiot). Most "satan worshippers" DO believe in god- they just hate him. SO to answer your questions-
1. Would you like to be a slave to god walking on streets of gold?(someone's gotta clean those things).
2. They probably expect to no longer have to bow down to an opressive god- thanks to feeling like they were abandoned by him/her/it.
3. Christians are taught about hell as a scare tactic- who would follow the guidelines if there was no punishment involved- would anyone even care- I know I wouldn't (don't)?
4. I think hell is a mindset that you feel while living- you are in heaven if people like you and you are in hell if people do not. When you die, you are dead. No more existence. Done deal. Finished. No heaven no hell no nirvana- NOTHING. I believe that even if there is a god, there is no afterlife; because we (as humans) do not matter. We are animals. We live and die just like anything else. Were it not for our intelligence and learned behavior, we would just be another food source. WE ARE NOT IMPORTANT.

All the people that tell me I am going to hell and they are going to heaven make me SOOOOOO glad I dont have to spend eternity with a bunch of closed minded idiots like that up in heaven (and if ya want my opinion anywhere filled with bright light, a bunch of goody 2 shoes and judgemental religion fanatics...thats true hell) and have we forgotten that no matter how far into space we go we aint found heaven yet and we know there really is no hell under our feet so can we all worry about something tangible like just being a good person not for some reward (heaven) but just for the sake of being a good person, and raising our children to do what is right not scaring them into thinking they are going to an imaginary hell to keep them acting right.

this is not for me to answer because i am not a satan worshiper. i choose heaven. where there is streets of gold and gates of gigantic pearls and eternal happiness!!!!!! not hell where there will be screaming of torture. some people think being in that lake of burning sulfur is no big deal but come on have you smelled burning sulfur? and have you read that in the bible jesus described hell as a place where"their worm (maggot) does not die, and the fire is not quenched". (mark9:48) so devil worshipers would you really want to spend 80 years the way YOU want to and spend eternity in hell, with magots and smells that woulod make you gag? or spend 80 years worshiping God and spend eternity in heaven?

I have to agree with a few postings. True satanists do not believe in a supreme being. They believe that they are the "center of the universe" and what the do directly affects the world around them. The whole pentagram, 666, drinking blood thing came from the movies.

The Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth

by Anton Szandor LaVey ©1967

[Spanish, Croation]

1. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.

2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.

3. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there.

4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.

5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.

6. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.

7. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.

8. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.

9. Do not harm little children.

10. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.

11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.

The Nine Satanic Statements

from The Satanic Bible, ©1969

by Anton Szandor LaVey

[français]

1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence!

2. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams!

3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit!

4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates!

5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek!

6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires!

7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all!

8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!

9. Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years!
