I'm not gonna sit here and bash on anyone, I just want to know if people of any religions actually believe their god no matter who it is will punish them for questioning him? I know everyone will just tell me they need to have faith but blind faith doesn't seem like a good idea, that's how a cult gets started. It's ok to believe in God or Allah or Vishnu or Shiva but I'd encourage some one to question it, I think it's human propaganda that tell you not to question your lord not your lord himself. Although as a buddhist I don't believe in any god or goddesses, that's partly why I ask. Open mindedness is something I think should be encouraged, not threatened with hellfire.

I once sat next to a very nice elderly man on a plane and we discussed the Catholic faith. He told me he was a Zionist and I got the feeling he did not believe in the afterlife. Do Zionist believe in a hereafter? Thanks.

A man is born to poor parents. They raise him well with what little they have. They have him join a small town cult. One of the volunteers for the cult who watches the children singles him out - and abuses him. From then on the child learns to hate that cult. And years of men who rob from him, and do violence against him from that cult only serve to cement that feeling against other cults. Finally he looks into abberant cults and finds power and horrors so he leaves the abberant cults and studies nature cults for a while. Then studies a cult devoted to the idea of peace....until he finds that the pieace is there only as an ornament it is really a cult of the sword. So fatigued and exhausted he life spent on cults, he turns to himself and finds peace. Where will this man go after death?

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticedtow sets of footprints in the sand:
one belonging to him ant the other belonging to the Lord.
When the last of his life flashed before him , he looked back at the footprintnts in the sand . He notice that many times
along the path of his life there only one set of footprints. He also notice that it happen a the very lowest and saddest
tome of in his life. This really bother him,
and he questioned te Lord about it. " Lord you said that once I decided to follow you , you'd walk walk with me all the
way. But I have noticed that during the trublesome times in my life , there is only one set of footprints I dont understand why, Whe I needed you most, you would leave me." The lord replied , " My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you . During your timesof trial and
suffering , when you see one set of footprints, it was when I carried you."

They know nothing but what the bible says. Go ahead and tell me I'm generalizing, I don't care. True knowledge comes from your own mind, your own ideas. It's not layed out in a book in front of you. Do you think geniuses have a handbook, no. Just their mind.

I'm not sure if this stuff's true, but I want to beleive and have always been interested in past lives. I have very clear visions of people that I do not even know, but associate them very closely with me. They are, pretty much, me only from a different time period, with a different look and usually male. Could these visions be relating to my past lives???? How do I figure out if they are, or what my real past lives where?

What do you think of this?
Peter Costello, heir apparent to Prime Minister John Howard said:

"......I'd be saying to clerics who are teaching that there are two laws governing people in Australia, one the Australian law and another the Islamic law, that is false. If you can't agree with parliamentary law, independent courts, democracy, and would prefer Sharia law and have the opportunity to go to another country, which practices it, perhaps, then, that's a better option," Costello said.

"Basically, people who don't want to be Australians, and they don't want to live by Australian values and understand them, well then they can basically clear off," he said. Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.

In essense, he is asking all Muslims who do not believe in Australian Christian values can just get out.

What would you say to US, Canada, UK who are pussyfooting on this issue?

What exactly are you denying? I went to an atheist meeting once and the people didn't seem to be nonbelievers, it seemed more like they were mad at god. I'm agnostic because I really don't believe that one can be an atheist. How can you deny something if you claim it doesn't exist? Why would you even care enough to make the effort?

I fear I have offended many. Someone called me a loon, and bonkers. I hope I am not, and I would hope my grandchildren wouldn't think me that way either.

I was calling upon Christians to come to action and didn't realize there were non-believers in this place.

If you feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit in your heart right now, please read John 3:16 and give your life over to Christ!

The Catholic Church is a family, to those who have missed that fact. Priest are human, not God to those who have missed that fact. The Church is run by man, and it's human nature to sin. I am disgusted, and in disbelief in what has happened, but you can not judge a whole family on the actions of some of the members. God is the only one to judge, but there are plenty who think they are God.

Or, were the ones writing the bible realling having experiences that we have and can relate to today...for example..out of body exploration, pyschedlic experiences via plants, psychic predictions, musical transcendance and people who know about freewill and choose to follow their dreams....Think people...things havnt changed that much, only the manipulation has gotten more perfected

GOD does not need religion. Religion needs GOD.
GOD and religion are 2 different things.
This question is only about religion. And lets see how many will go balistic with this question while Jesus teaches them to be peacefull.

I'm tired of hearing people explain my faith, when they haven't a clue what they are talking about. I see it time, and time again. If you don't have a Doctorate in Theology from an accredited university, maybe you should know about what your saying before you make yourself look unbelievably ignorant.

Arguably, religions are divisive. "We're of one faith... You're not = We're separate from you". Even an apparently mild divide, like that between Catholicism & Protestantism, presents itself as a chasm over which war is conducted...

Worth consideration is, whether people of power are deliberately using our religious differences in order to pursue their personal & political agendas. Meaning, is it deliberately done in order to make use of our embrace of whichever religious ideology? Are they simply taking advantage of our religious ignorance in order to manipulate us into going along with a political aspiration? -- Or, are they (the ol' powers that be) as convoluted as we are... actually embracing the notion that their "all loving/all powerful God (any name will do)" directs them to behave antagonistically toward followers of varying belief sets?

Basically, are we following people who actually believe as 'we' do? Or are we being manipulated by people according to our beliefs? Given religions' record concerning warfare & general animosity; it's interesting to consider whether we're duped or dubious. It we could somehow discover that we've just been being duped... that would be The Mother of all Conspiracy Theories come to light. What do you think?
