AdiSankaracarya says ther is notthing other than the self. How would the self subjected to dif,ferent verieties of births .,like human, animal, tree and rock according to their karma? How can the acts of the animals.plants and rocks could be calculated and destined for their next birth?

Okay I was just reading something in the Relationship section about Mormons rushing into marriage, apparently because of the strictness of sexual expressions and emphasis on marriage.

Apparently Mormons take marriage seriously however according to the Christian religion marriage and sex is a big deal, but why does it seem like some denominations are stricter with the practice than others?

When I say strict on sex, I mean strict about waiting.

Also He Brigham Young said that there was not a sermon He preached that could not be called scripture and Good scripture!! Volume 13 page 95 and page 264. Adam is god and had wives. To me as a Catholic Christian I consider it sinful to destroy this planet that God has given us. I believe that it is our responsibility as humans and as Christians to properly care for our home. I mean isn't it an insult to an artist if the caretaker of that art does not treat it correctly but scribbles on it and trashes it?

There is a local rally to be able to keep some Islamic people for building a mosque in a predominantly Christian (Baptisit) neighborhood. One of the local preachers, went on the news and stated that he does not want these people in his neighborhood because they preach hate. Now, I personally feel that he is being hypocritical. He is going against people who "teach hate" when he is doing the same thing. I'm not Islamic but I don't believe all Islamic people are hateful terrorists. I think that is the most ignorant thing someone could say. I would never go to this man's church and he should not call himself a preacher.

From another post, many christians said that if one does not believe in christ they are by default anti-christ (i.e. against christ and his teachings).

Outside of the fact that this is a logical fallacy (False Dillema), it would also imply that christians are against tollerance, love, and respect.

1.) No christian believes in Buddha, making them anti-Buddha.
2.) Buddha preached love, tollerance, respect, etc.
3.) Therefore all christians are anti-love, tolerance, respect.

Would anyone agree with that?

The Bible tells us to seek after Wisdom. Knowledge is wonderful but Wisdom is better. I am wondering if we prize knowledge more than wisdom. Don't get me wrong I appreciate knowledge but I think some people are so smart and yet seem to have no wisdom.

1. My father(deceased)- for obvious reasons
2. Christ- again for obvious reasons
3. Socrates(deceased)- because he was and is the most philosophical person of all times and I would like his opinion on the world how it is today
4. Leonardo DaVinci- he was a genius in so many different fields....art, science, mathmatics.....
5. Mick Jagger- I love the Stones and think him and Keith are fantastic song writers
