I've been attending services at a UU "church" (No one has ever told me what to call it). It's fascinating the mix of people who attend these services, including athiests. I've enjoyed it a lot since I don't feel talked down to and many times everone is involved in the sermon, not just one person telling us stuff.
As far as beliefs of the UU, again, no one is telling me what I have to believe, so I can hold onto those things I love and not feel guilty about what I've been taught that I feel is wrong.

I wouldn't ever think of UU as a religion, but I do think it's a religious/spiritual community. It's good. It's open and supportive of its members, it teaches acceptance, and it promotes moral living. What more could you want?
