Why do I keep hereing this from conservatives and why does it remind me of McCarthy's "internal communist agenda"?

Can anyone give facts (with creditability) to support the existence of Gay Agenda?

The gay agenda is to turn America into another Sodom and Gommorah.

There are seven basic steps to the gay agenda. They are as follows:

1) Educate and encourage school children about homosexuality. Homosexuals have stated that to change a culture you have to get to the children. People know that the children of today will make up the governments of tomorrow. If the gays do their job right, then they are going to raise a generation of kids who don't believe the claims of the 'religious right' (homosexuality is wrong, etc.). The homosexual activists want to keep the Gospel of Jesus Christ out of the school and get homosexual indoctrination in.

2) "Talk about gays and gayness as loudly and as often as possible." The gays think that if they do this people will get tired of the issue and give them what they want.

3) "Portray gays as victims, not as aggressive challengers." The gays exploit tragedies against homosexuals to portray themselves as victims.

4) "Give homosexual protectors a just cause." The gays want to take advantage of America's innate sense of fairness to sway them into believing that homosexuals are disenfranchised.

5) "Make gays look good." They are trying to portray homosexuals as normal, stable people.

6) "Make the victimizers (faith based Christians) look bad." They are trying to get conservative Christians to look bad for holding to biblical beliefs. They get behind the liberal churches that say homosexual behavior is fine theologically.

7) "Get funds from corporate America." They are getting corporate America to side with their agenda.

An objective observer of what is going on in our country in regard to homosexuality will validate the above statements.

The "Gay Agenda" Wow that sounds really strange. If they have an agenda it would probably be the same as any other minority. Respect and the right to live their lives without threat of harm, violence, and discrimination because they are different then what society deems as normal.

I have always felt that all people are different and wouldn't it be a boring world if everyone was the same. We would miss out on the great debates, cultural festivals and tolerance.

If a person is not harming another person and living their life to be happy I ask you what is the harm? Gay people are not more likely to harm anyone or molest children or commit crimes than anyone else. So you ask what their agenda is, I ask what is the agenda of people that cant or wont understand that?

There are six basic points to the homophobic agenda. They are as follows:

1) Talk about gays and gayness as loudly and as discriminatory as possible.

2) Portray gays as abominations, not as human beings deserving of equality.

3) Give homosexual protectors a hard time for supporting sin.

4) Make Christians look good.

5) Make the true haters (sin based gays) looks bad.

6) Get hate protection of sanctity of marriage support from bigot America.

7) Press our religion on the world but deny it with the claim that it is for the good of man kind.

8) Get in everyone else’s business behind closed doors even when it effects/victimizes no one.

...the list I made is much more accurate of the homophobic agenda. Of course this list is from the other side but there isn't one lie in this list (christians will still deny that). See how easy that was?

You were right the first time. Like McCarthy's phrase, the phrase 'gay agenda' is used to imply that the gay community has some sort of nefarious plot or scheme that they hope to perpetrate onto an otherwise innocent populace. If the attempt to politically fight for ones equal rights as a citizen and as a human being amount to an 'agenda', then yes, they have one and that's what it is.

I believe it's obvious. There are certain things that gay people want to be passed into law (for example for marriage to be legal between same sex partners) to make their lives better, equal to the rights that heterosexual people have. I don't believe there is anything wrong with the basic agenda but since I am not aware of what else is going on with gay rights I don't know if I would agree with everything on their agenda.

No, I can't give you facts with credibility because there is no such thing as a "gay agenda". Wanting to live in peace, without hatred and bigotry, and enjoy the same freedoms that others are allowed is not an "agenda".

It's a human rights agenda, gay citizens are asking for equal (not special) treatment under the law...

Why not support equal civil rights for gays and make sure you are on the right side if history instead of the wrong side.

You got it tagged right, Brother. It is the neo-cons spinbyte. They want us to believe that somehow Gay folks want to convert all the nice Bible reading kids into flaming Gays. When in reality, most Gays I know just want to be free of the fear of being beaten to death. Mathew Shepherd (and lots of others) really did die.

I have not seen roving gangs of Gays converting or sodomizing anyone. I have seen gangs of straights (drunk college males) out Gay bashing. It is like lynching in the South. It makes me sick.

Call anyone when they start spouting this cr@p! Please. Gays are not converts, they are born that way. Those that yell the loudest are the most afraid that they might be Gay underneath it all.

Might ask Dick Cheney's daughter what the Gay Agenda is. She might know.

I'm gay, and I haven't seen any agendas floating around...

However, I do hear Elton John is the leader of the Gay Mafia. I think he should make a post on here sometime!

McCarthy's ghost is alive and well. Just look around on the site.

If the trend continues, the religious right might soon insist the we drive a horse and buggy and use the words "ye" and "thou."

theres the real gay agenda and the fake one

the real one is what they wanted in the 90s, to not get fired, to have health benefits at their jobs for their loved one, to not get killed like alan shepard, to not get denied a place to life without being denied

in the 2003 there was a hijack of this agenda by the massachuets supreme court and specifically san francisco city hall, where people like rosie odonnel got married, but for show, making a mockery of marriage

should gay people be allowed to marry? i dont know, but first their goals of equality need to be met by society, as seen by the agenda they had in the 90s that hadn't been met entirely

now with hollywood gays and the bravo tv show its become in your face, accept us or whatever

their original goal was just to fit in and be tolerated, and not killed,
that was hijacked

every group who demands acceptance before they are tolerated becomes an object for ridicule by the moral majority

blacks spent 100 years suffering kkk lynchings, and we remember the images of the water houses

they wanted tolerance, and this was denied
then martin luther king spoke of simple equality, tolerance, and it was given

there is no martin luther king of the movement for gay tolerance, for gay rights, for gay/straight equality

currently we see an in your face we are queer, we are here, get used to us

this in a parade where naked men show off their genetalia

where gay couples get marriages liscenes just to prove they can have the right to it

their agenda of tolerance, of dont fire me cause im gay, of dont discriminate me against me getting an appartment, this must first have been met by society

now karl rove is able to get republicans elected by saying look, they want to be married

way to go rosie odonnel, now we have 4 more years of shrub
