and isn't necromancy condemned in the bible? Also, isn't communion based on cannibalism? And, isn't the Crucifixion based on human-sacrifice and or deocide?
That's 4 questions for the price of one for those who have difficulty counting.

My husband has tried desparately for 3 years to get a full time job, but still hasn't gotten one (he's not too picky either). We are living on his part time job (25 hrs/wk). I'm out of work for health reasons. I used to tithe my 10%. We have to have family members pay some of our bills from time to time because the money doesn't stretch that far. I still think we should give our 10% which will allow us to make the car payment and have $12.00 left, which has to last until the 30th. Has anyone had enough faith to tithe in a similar circumstance.

Mormonism teaches that god used to be just a man on another world and that he became a god (exaltation) and he came to this world with his godess wife. he was able to become a god because he followed the laws and ordinances of the god he served on another world. that god was exalted by his god who was exalted by his god ad infinitum as far back as you can look. truth does not contradict itself something cannot be true and false at the same time. This is basic logic. If something does contain a logical impossibility then it cannot be true. Mormon teach an infinite regression of causes, that is that each god was made by a previous god who was made by a previous god who was a man? as far back as you can look into time this exaltation has been in affect. problem this is logically impossible. Since it is logically impossible, this means mormonism is false. Oh its a mystery they say ah if the proclamation of the mystery violates the laws of logic. mormonism is proven false cannot be true.

I am just trying to understand the group that rely on tangible evidence like dirt, hair, blood to prove something. What about falling in love or loving someone you can't bottle it and study it or when someone hates someone with a passion can you bottle that? Ya we have physical reactions and you can see a person if they are in love or hate someone.. sometimes, cuz if they are fake then you can't see what is truly in their heart that they may be fakin the funk or totally two faced (sure we've all experienced that). Only in their actions do you see the results, but before, til you didn't see it happen, you didn't know. So how can you bash or rationalize something you didn't know or havn't experienced? Doesn't make sense.....

for family to kill daughters who fall in love with the "wrong" man? This is a relatively rare issue in the Muslim community in this country but much more common in many Islamic countries. How can this be justified? Surely the Qu'ran doesn't support this. So why does it happen as in the recent case on the news tonight where the murdered girl's brother has been jailed for a VERY long time?

I've observed a significant number of "questions" that are either:

(1) Obvious the "asker" has already decided the answer and is trying to influence others.

(2) Non-questions being used as a podium for speaking.

My impression of Yahoo! Answers was intending to serve as a means by which people with sincere questions could seek assistance and/or advice ... and, over time, would grow into a large store of information people could search through quickly.

There are numerous other places people can argue or preach or pen their thoughts ... and much more appropriate than here ... why are so many determined to use this forum to do so?

If i am a Christian and I change my religion to Islam that is ok, but if I am a Muslim and I want to become a Christian the punishment is the death. That is a stupid religion which try not to let the man to choose God but to force the people to stay into a limited system

And don't quote Revelation 22:18-19. The Jews could argue the same thing about the New Testament since it says the same thing in Deuteronomy.

The Book of Revelation was almost not even approved to be included in the Bible. Many Catholic bishops opposed its inclusion. Martin Luther, the originator of the Protestants, believed the Book of Revelation was neither apostolic nor prophetic. The first Protestant didn't even believe the Book of Revelation.

Since it was not the last book written does that make later books heretical?

"Let's call a sin a sin!
It is unnatural - just look at how the female and male bodies are made and that should be evidence.
We have become a harmfully permissive society, and people are being hurt by living in harmful ways under the banner of tolernace. There is indeed right and wrong, beyond what our society has grown to accept.
There are things that are wrong - just as you said, like pedophilia. But other wrongs such as homsexuality, abortion, living together without being married have slowly grown into American society because we have become desensitized over time into thinking it is ok.
There is"nothing new under the sun", it happened in Ancient Greece and Rome - and is man's rebellion against God.
No, the behavior is not healthy. It is harmful and opposed to how we are created.
We love the sinner and hate the sin, everyone deserves unconditional love."

"Does it matter...you obviously only wan to hear what you want to hear. Julia is absolutely correct. Just because you are born with a desire to love men doesn't mean that it's right. We are all born in sin. Sin comes in many different forms and fashions. Some people love to steal, kill etc. Some may like members of the same sex. It's still wrong. Once you realize that you need a savior in your life that knows better than you then you are able to turn from those sins."

Can we help her understand?

I currently attend an Apostolic church. The people who go there, as well as myself, believe in speaking in tongues. I have done so on many occasions. Each time my eyes were closed, I felt at great peace, and my tongues had like lost control but it wasn't bad and sounds were coming from my mouth that weren't just noises but like another language and it just flowed so naturally even though I dont know what i'm saying. Also is there any explanation for shouting, Holy Ghost dancing, things like that. Where the person experiences extreme joy and starts speaking in tongues or screaming or saying Glory or Hallelujah or something and they stomp all around and their arms sometine flail and they like bow, but they never hit stuff or people even though their eyes are closed. Is their a reason how can people run around and not hit stuff with their eyes closed. These people are some of the nicest and holiest people I've ever met. I wanted to know if this is the Holy Ghost or something in the mind.

You want to go to Church and believe something, knock yourself out. But spewing "Biblical Babble" as the answer to how someone else should live their life is not a good thing, no matter what you believe.
