I've observed a significant number of "questions" that are either:
(1) Obvious the "asker" has already decided the answer and is trying to influence others.
(2) Non-questions being used as a podium for speaking.
My impression of Yahoo! Answers was intending to serve as a means by which people with sincere questions could seek assistance and/or advice ... and, over time, would grow into a large store of information people could search through quickly.
There are numerous other places people can argue or preach or pen their thoughts ... and much more appropriate than here ... why are so many determined to use this forum to do so?

Yahoo! Answers includes a category under reporting "abuse" as posts that are neither asking a question, nor providing and answer ... that would seem to imply this is not a place where individuals are meant to "vent" or voice their opinions in guise of questions.

Several of you have indicated that this is a forum primarily made up of opinions ... but that isn't the issue. If you ask a question, not because you are asking, but because you are trying to make some point ... then you aren't engaging in the asking of a question and aren't really curious as to the answer ... rather, you are taking side in an argument.

Take a good look at the category you are in. Religion and Spirituality is more opinion based even outside of here than probably anything else. Yes there are religious theories but depending on your particular belief system you may feel they are valid or invalid. So in turn, many questions are posted to support ones own view or to make a statement. My own questions in this category don't look like actual questions at the outset but they are actually asked in the details section because they are longer than the character limitation allows.
I don't believe this was ever meant to be a new encyclopedia or quick find. One it has a point system which gives it more of the appearance of a game and secondly it linked itself to Wikpedia so if you are providing a means to validate answers by an encyclopedia you are not one.
If Yahoo had a serious problem with people expressing their own views and opinions on Religion and Spirituality on this forum they would have taken it offline and changed it so it could not be done.

My call is Lori T. because it truly is my call-lol.i'm for sure no longer too wise even as it is composed of exhibit screen names! I actual don't have any political association.i guess you would say self sufficient.i locate it somewhat scary that each and each and every individual isn't self sufficient.i'm purely an American. i do not quite have a candidate that I actual have supported from the starting up.i pick to attend and see what occurs, do truly analyze and then pick.the way someone runs a campaign says alot about them.that is why i'm no longer positive why human beings get so worked up about applicants contained in the very starting up.The personality is finally going to tutor.like it did even as Obama ultimately were given some unscripted questions and proceeded to stumble everywhere attempting to respond to them. That became an truly telling second. some thing exciting about me is that i'm an avid reader and researcher.i pick solutions.straightforward solutions.i pick to have as a lot ideas as plausible before making a range about some thing.some may call me a geek.I keep a pc next to the pc so i am going to take notes. exciting determination, the bagpipes!

This is a religious/spiritual forum and my observation of this site is flooded with GOD Haters, Unbelievers, who try to either preach their unbeliefs to this religious/spiritual site or Condemn, Judge, Harass, Disrespect, and Insult Others religious/spiritual beliefs!......Why come on this site if you don't believe!.....why?... to stirr up strife, and insult!
