what do u think would say about this war? bush started this war and his a follower of jesus. no offense, though. a lot of war were caused by his followers. and they were christians. his followers are insulting another religion and making up false lies about it. also, the christians started this war because the muslims treated him as a prophet. even if the war was started the war because of osama, bush would try to only look for him and not go to iraq and afghanistan to kill muslims. more than 200000 innocent muslims died because of christians and others in afganistan.

I ONLY WANT RESPECTFUL AND HONEST ANSWERS.

please only answer this if you are not a christian, eg buddhist, hindu, muslim, taoist, b'hai, animist...

just wondering if jesus christ is mentioned in your religion (eg the text of your religion, or its sacred myths)? what is said about jesus christ?

as we are all aware, christians say a lot about jesus christ and it is clear what that is... that he died on the cross to repent for all our sins, and that he was the son of god, the father. so please don't answer about what christians would say.

This isn't a racist question - it's merely a way of looking at it. We know the slaves from Africa had their own tribal religions - then they were captured and brought to America for use as slaves. They were also converted to Christianity years later. Why would the African slaves believe the religion of these "White Devils"?

My daughter met a boy at youth group last week that told her he was very confused. My daughter has biblical beleifs towards evolution and this boy just wasnt buying it. But he was opened to what she had to say. Everything she shared with him, he had an opposite response to. he kept asking her to "please convince me. i want to believe" So my daughter came to me for advice, and im at a loss.

I believe that Earth is in fact our Hell, and our separation from "God", if he even exists in the first place.

I'm not surprised. Here's another reason to be proud that i'm an atheist. This is what happens to people(christians) when they're taught that they're born bad. Us atheists believe we are good so we act it. Christians are taught they are born bad so they become what they think they are.

Belief: % who have been divorced
Non-denominational Christians (small groups; independents) 34%
Jews 30%
Born Again Christians 27%
Mormons 24%
Other Christians (average) 24%
Catholics 21%
Atheists and agnostics 21%

I have a friend from college that I have known for 12 years. He is a nice guy but is always negative about his life and the misfortune that follows him. All of our friends from college have abandoned him. It is difficult to be his friend. I would hate to leave him, but his negativity and hopelessness are too much to take. Would it be wrong to walk away from him when I'm his only remaining friend?

I think it's just a way to scare people into converting. The way I see it, if a couple of religions say you're going to suffer eternally for not becoming part of them, that's the same way a bully would say he's going to kick your f.ing a$$ if you don't cough up your lunch money.

I quote from Proverbs 22:15. "Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shalt drive it far from him."

My question is do modern Christians believe in the use of a "rod of correction"?

Does this mean all strict Bible following parents are "abusing" their children?

(I personally think smacking your child is okay, a stick I don't know about...)
