Well it is His Spirit. God's Word is His Spirit. Something you may never understand because you don't want to.

because a great portion of avid bible readers only do it under direction during a church bible study, and they've been brainwashed to not question things like that. In the bible, it actually says somewhere of how we SHOULD question EVERYTHING because it makes us stronger people. Some bible bashers don't ever actually read the bible. and the bible isn't exactly god's word. It's god's words as written by the hands of men, and all men are corrupt, corinthians states that no mind can concieve, no eye can see the glory which is god, so the people who wrote the bible didn't have a full understanding of what they were writing. Also, due to the low number of persons who are fluent in the languages of the origional scripts, our translation is so off. the bible pretty much says the same stuff every other religious doctrine states. don't hurt anybody, and be good. if you combine all ten commandments, you'll end up with the wiccan creed- "an ye harm none, do as ye will" meaning you're free to do as you please as long as you hurt no one.

let say yes, that is the same, though this is only what your subconscious self which to hear. Not isn't the same, but there is one thing we Catholics, and Christians believe and to the best of my knowledge, we call Faith. So, went you read we(you), don't necessarily need to twist thing around for the second time or more, but to read and understand, that there are few things that the mind of a man, individual and /or a person aren't prepared to see, nor they will be able to understand, clearly in the first time they glance to the sacred Book. To become judge, you need to know the facts, and not just part or one fact. To get to know something you need to know if you are ready to know, learn and assimilate such knowing, and use it well and not to take advantage of what you think you know...., and here is your answer "You can never assimilate you don't need to assimilate. if you call me a murder, because I have try to decode your message, then you are know death, and/or dying. .and I hope this is the last time, because a plumber will not work for free. an old Spanish saying will apply perfectly in here and it said, "you are trying to find the Cat fifths leg"

The Bible is God's Word because it is God breathed. God told men what to write and they wrote it down in a book just like He told them to do. How do we know it is God's Word? The Bible was written over a 4000 year period by over 40 inspired men. The Bible fits together and there is no other book like the Bible. The prophets words have come together to make a prophecy of ages in the past, to the present time and then it also tells us about a future time. Ephesians 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; Times Past: Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: Now: Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Ages to Come:
Ephesians 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Not really.
Christians are actually answering this question genuinely (though incompletely). They DO believe its the word of God, because its in the bible. What they leave out is what convinced them that when the bible says its the word of God, its correct.

whoever says that doesnt know will tell u that. if the bible describe god as imperfect with a long white beard, then it is false. if it talks only about the earth and history, then it is false. if it has more than 1 author, it is false. by the way, the only authoer of the bible should be god himself.

The Bible is considered God's word because it was inspired by God to be written, though some think it is actually God's word like he dictated it to someone.

Circular reasoning. Quite common in Christian defense. Here's my favorite one:
Me: Why do you believe in the Bible?
Person: Because it's God's word.
Me: How do you know it's "God's word."
Person: Because the Bible says so.

Do you really think that's the same? Because you know, it's vaguely similar if he fails to kill you or to fix your faucet, but his TRYING to do so is pretty much the opposite.

No matter your religion, there are "guidline books" or other material each one goes by, and for Christians it's the bible. people have faith in their guide books because their religions teach that it's best. Christians teach that the bible is God's word and to have faith in it. so really you won't find a satisfying answer to your question. (I don't think) If you choose, just have faith.

We as Christians believe in one GOD and accept by faith that the writings of the Bible are the inspired Word of God.
