Why is it that so many people think that christianity is complete b.s.? Here's my position, if you read the bible, I promise you won't find anything in it that tells you to do wrong. In fact the bible says to love people, and to do the right thing. If everyone did what the bible said to do (whether you beleive in it or not) how can the world not be a much better place?

I'm just wondering if anyone knows what I am religious-wise. I've been raised Catholic but for the past few years I've been questioning whether I'm in the right place. (I don't hold grudges against people in that religion, many are really good ppl) I feel a great connection to nature and the beauty that fills the universe. I'm not sure whether I believe in a God (although sometimes it seems like there's something around). I feel freer and better when I'm not tied into a certain belief system and I always want to respect others and never want to be preachy. I search for stability and adore math and science.
If any of you know anything that could help give me clues as to what I am because I'm sure there are others out there who feel like I do. Also, as to death, I just think of peace. And I know I'm not through college and still have time ahead of me to learn.

Why do “Christians” know so little about the Bible?

Jesus said that the FOOLISH build their house (faith) on the sand, but a WISE builds their house of a firm foundation (proof).

He goes on to warn against BLIND faith saying that if the blind (those without scriptural proof) follow the blind, they both fall into the ditch. If a person is lead by the blind or false teachings only, they overlook key scriptures that point the way.

Such scriptures as:

Genesis 2:7; “..and man BECAME a living soul (Hebrew: Nephesh).” Note: he was not GIVEN AN IMMORTAL SOUL.

Genesis 6:15; “… length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it, fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.” Note: ark shaped like a rectangle not boat.

Psalm 78:69, Isaiah 14:18, Numbers 14:21, Genesis 8:21 and Ecclesiates 4:1:”… but the earth abideth FOREVER” Note: Earth NOT going to be destroyed again.

With a correct understanding, there is no contradictions and TRUTH agrees with science.

I Hereby Refer You To The Future.
When forced into a corner, evolutionists resort to the claim "Even if scientific discoveries do not confirm the theory of evolution today, such developments will take place in the future." The basic starting point here is evolutionists' admission of defeat in the scientific arena. Reading between the lines, we can translate as follows: "Yes, we defenders of the theory of evolution admit that the discoveries of modern science do not support us. For that reason, we can see no alternative but to refer the matter to the future."
Yet science does not function by such logic. A scientist does not first of all blindly devote himself to a theory, hoping that one day the evidence to prove that theory will emerge. Science examines the available evidence and draws conclusions from it. That is why scientists should accept the "design," or the fact of creation in other words, which scientific discoveries have proved.

When G-d gave the laws in the five books of Moses, did he make a mistake? He gave us laws we couldn't do so he had to send his son to rectify the problem?

Or was he being sadistic by giving us laws we couldn't follow and made us suffer with them for over 1300 years?

Or is he not omniscient and didn't realize we couldn't keep them?

time and time again had history proved that the church(vatican) had been a failure. corrupted papals in the dark ages of the medival wrote none other than poverty, suppresion and deaths into the pages of time. to me a religion is something wholesome, nothing could go wrong, all thing must be right. but then again critical and logical thinking had led me to a series questions whether there is need of vatican to be precise a religion.in every organisation there are surely politics and therefore power stugles exists ecspecially when monetary elements are involved.the vatican is like an organisation pope is the highest ranking in the hierarchy of catholic faith hence an authoritarion nature exists and power strugle will emerge to compliment this authority.imagine if when a religion posses a slightest sense of politic, should i doubt the sincerity of that religion. if religion is something good or perfect no one should die for the cause of it,crusade, jihad does all these make sense i doubt

I have been told on several occasions that I am capable of working with Spirit. I have also been told that i am a healer as well. What I would like to know is does this sort of thing just happen to you (and I do not mean overnight) or do you have to train for it.
It has taken me years to accept messages and I still am not 100 pc believer into this. But over the years they have said things that I think 'How did you know that'. Yet have been told that it is best not to believe in it 100 pc. Any help appreciated thank you

The Qur'an has some very strong language with respect to alcohol:

"O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper." (Surah 5:90, Yusuf Ali)

Yet, we see that the Qur'an then teaches that "Satan's handiwork" will appear in the Paradise which Allah is said to prepare for faithful Muslims,

"(Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord. (Can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (to pieces)?" (Surah 47:15, Yusuf Ali)
