I have been told on several occasions that I am capable of working with Spirit. I have also been told that i am a healer as well. What I would like to know is does this sort of thing just happen to you (and I do not mean overnight) or do you have to train for it.
It has taken me years to accept messages and I still am not 100 pc believer into this. But over the years they have said things that I think 'How did you know that'. Yet have been told that it is best not to believe in it 100 pc. Any help appreciated thank you

You have a "gift" in this area, just a some people have a natural talent for music or art, etc. You can improve your ability, but you will need to do research on how to do so. From what I understand, being psychic runs in families. Were there any family members who also had this ability?
You can help people, if you so chose, or you can ignore your gift. It is up to you.

It is a lie from the pit of hell! You can not "work with spirits"! This is a lie seducing you into thinking you can control this, and you will end up being controlled. Trust me on this one!

The Key is FAITH, in the Bible is is Written, If you have the faith of a Mustard seed, you can Move Mountains.
So if it is gods will for you to heal, you will, if you have Faith.
God will not allow you to do something against his will, with his power anyway.

It's like you said, takes years to train and find out whether or not you have such ability and gift. So my advice is that you take it easy on yourself and divert your energy towards something more beneficial.

God works in mysterious ways that we sometimes don't understand.
If you truly have a gift from God you will know when to use it and how.
