Most of you say one. But according to your math 3 is equal to one. And I want a Godly wife. So I think Trinity in marriage is actually Unity. If God is a threesom marriage, mine should be as well. Three wives is one wife!

Depends on what type of Christian. Most maintream religions only allow one. Some sects of Christianity to allow plural marriages, but not many.

The real question is why would you. It's one wife enough torture. ;)

People above has great misconception that Christian can only have one wife. When prophets of God according to Bible , can as much have 700 wives, then why cant Muslims have maximum of 4 on the criteria of justice.

Abraham, Moses, Jacob, David, etc., who all had more than one wife.

David had six wives and numerous concubines (2 Samuel 5:13; 1 Chronicles 3:1-9, 14:3)

Solomon was said to have had as many as 700 wives and 300 concubines (1 Kings 11:3).

Solomon's son Rehoboam had 18 wives and 60 concubines (2 Chronicles 11:21).

===========================

I suggest to have 1 , because its a huge responsibility marrying more than 1.

my suggestion is the same to muslims.

You can only have one according to exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery, also 1corinthians7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have HIS OWN WIFE, and let every woman have her own husband. There are more verses but these came to mind. Now it is true in the old testement that men of God were having more than one wife after a time, but because of covenants that were made with God since then and spiritual laws as well as earthly laws the only way that I know of that you can be married to more spouse is : 1 your human wife and 2: the "BRIDE OF CHRIST."

If you are a christian, you can have as many wives as you want.

If you are a FAITHFUL, OBEDIENT, christian, you will have one wife at a time. If God takes your spouse to Heaven to be with Him, then you can remarry another christian if God leads and you choose to.

Pastors, Deacons, are prohibited from having more than one wife while serving in that capacity.

Only one, if you have more that is called adultery and breaks one of the 10 commandments. Also it would probably be a danger to your life to have more than one wife without the consent of your original wife.

Before going any further, How many can you afford? I have two ex's and believe me, it's expensive. If you have a lot of money, you can pay legal fees for when you are arrested for polygamy. You can do anything you want, but are you willing to take the responsiblity.

One...

Unless you are a Mormon, then you can have as many as you want. I Don't Suggest you do this, as you have to find wives that get along together, and will not kill each other or you...

but do what ever you want.

Many people in the bible had more than one. Although Paul says it is best not to marry unless it will help prvent youthful lust.
Best stick with what is legal and affordable and desirable. (who would want more than one?)
