Why would you not want to live forever in harmony with God? I used to think like that, like it would get boring living for eternity. But In heaven there is no suffering and no problems...its eternal peace.

I've heard that in Hell you have a sense of ETERNITY, whereas here most of us can't.
It's not a matter of what we want, It's a matter of what we deserve. I know that I don't deserve to go to Heaven, but every day I live so that I can stay away from Hell. In the process, I become a better person. It's always a win win situation. Whether you think that there exists a Heaven or not, being good all the time and sharing your love for others is not so bad.
In fact, it is even healthy.

You do not have a chose in this matter. Your soul will either live in heaven or in Hell. You need to trust in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for you. He died for your sins, He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. Your soul will get a glorified body fashioned like His body and you will not worry about eternity. Philippians 3: 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. If you reject what He did for you then you will go to hell and that is for eternity. All that are in Hell will be judged and then cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

I think your question is like paying taxes. The concept of paying taxes will be with us as long as a soul lives. No way to avoid it and no way to stop it!
Here hoping that if your soul lives forever, it will experience good times and happiness.

Well you have as much choice in that as you did in being born. These are things that happened to us without our choosing. Because we are not sovereign, all-powerful beings we don't have control over everything.
Therefore, get you life straight with God, eternity awaits us all. Either in heaven or hell.

Fortunately for them, the Christian religion is incorrect and there is no such thing as an afterlife, heaven, or hell. Well, okay, maybe Salt Lake City is hell. :P
