Adam and Eve were born pure until they ate from the tree of knowledge and became sinful resulting in the rest of humans being born with sin. Why would god then allow his son to die for our sins if we were sinful and continue to be sinful? It seems a pointless and purposeless exercise that has not eradicated the sin. What does the crucification of christ prove?

Because I've been having strange accourences around my house (which is haunted) where I get the sensation of being pinched, slapped, and scratched right before I'm dozing off to sleep and when I wake up, I come to find that I have horrible scars and marks and what not in the exact same places on my body where I felt the sensations!

By fundamental I mean people who believe there is only one God, that you should be saved, original sin etc.. There seems to be such a lot of people with these convictions here. No offense, I'm only curious.

I'm reading the book, and I can't decide if I think it's true or not... the whole Mary Magdaline and Jesus being married and having kids and that there are decendants of Jesus here today.. I can't decide. What are your thoughts?

They say that if we don't do this, that, and the other we'll go to Hell and roast for the rest of Eternity. Well, should a person have to suffer because everyone who has ever tried to give them 'directions' for getting into Heaven has sounded like they needed their head examined? Is it fair that a guy is scared away by the average modern Christian and the average modern Preacher that don't bitmore seem to know what they're talkin' 'bout then the Man in the Moon should recieve eternal damnation???

There are a lot of people that are atheists simply because the average Christian sounds like a babbling idiot. Should they have to suffer for that? Even worse, there are a lot of people that will go to Hell because, though they thought they were a Christian, they were actually given the wrong directions by an arrogant old man that is too Prideful to admit that his interpretation may be wrong. Is that fair??

What do you think about all of this?

I am tired of that discription being used. That is a discription of the god Pan except for the tail and wings. I refuse to accept that Pan is the devil, he is the god of shepards, flocks and general good times. Can ANY christian give me the exact bible passage that discribes Lucifer in this manner? I think not. How about it?

I am not talking about the Our Father in Matthew, that prayer was for us. The heart and Prayer of Jesus is found in: John 17.
Verse 21: "so that they all be one, as you father are in me, and I in you."
verse 22: "so that they be one, as we are one."

Then why are there 38,000 Christian denominations? This disunity is a scandal in the face of God. We cannot evangelize the world because of Christians fighting with each other.

The existense of all these Christian groups are a dirrect offense against Jesus Christ himself.

There are so many victims of manipulation and circumstance among us. Do they really deserve the same treatment as those that have sinned for their own financial or social gains? Does an otherwise innocent kid that smokes to fit in or throws rocks at passing cars because the other "cool kids" inadvertantly influenced him into doing it deserve the same punishment as the kids that throw the rocks because they are just angry and filled with hate and hostility? Should we as Students of GOD just stand idly by and watch people that had little choice in their actions get punished like hardened, irreproachable criminals????

If there was a way you could keep them from going to Hell, would you do it?

I mean am I wrong on this? Jesus was suppose to be the son of God, right? Jesus practiced Judaism, if you believe in God and Jesus, shouldn't you also practice Judaism? It just seems to make sense to me.

...if he allows his pastoral/counseling staff to consult
with Psychologists and Psychiatrists, or refer church
members to the same?

Bear in mind, Psychology and Psychiatry are based on humanism and evolution, and as a discipline is not subject to the authority of the Bible.

Consider the use of psychotropic drugs: the greek word for "Sorcery" is "pharmakia" - our root english word for Pharmacy. Can a person who takes antidepressants and mood stablizers to alter his mood apart from the Holy Spirit be Spirit Filled?

Sorcery is a deed of the flesh (pharmakia, drug use) and is a sign of carnality, not spirituality.

Have you had "personal experience(s)" which have led you to believe what you do, or are you 'adopting' the beliefs passed onto you by family...

I use to be an agnostic (actually borderline atheist) until I actually questioned why I thought - what I thought. (I realized it was ideas passed on to me by parents...)

When I opened myself up to God ~ He "revealed" himself to me.
I did have a personal encounter...and my beliefs are NOT what is "dictated" to me by some 'preacher'... I discovered them through a relationship with Christ. (This is something many can't comprehend...nor can you, until you try yourself.)

I've studied God's Word. I've prayed for his Holy Spirit to help me understand...He has.

Have you ever seriously tried it?
If not, what gives you room to argue that God isn't real?
You have no proof to back up your claim...where as I have. God changed me.

God Bless.
