I mean am I wrong on this? Jesus was suppose to be the son of God, right? Jesus practiced Judaism, if you believe in God and Jesus, shouldn't you also practice Judaism? It just seems to make sense to me.

This question has been asked many times over the centuries. There are some who believe that Christ was pointing the way to a greater knowledge of God, not to Himself as the Savior of mankind. Some Christians have converted to Judaism after having pondered this point.

He practiced Judaism because he was a man and that was the covenant that God established with Israel. Jesus was the son of God and divine, so he also knew that he was sent to Earth as the Messiah and to establish the new covenant by his death. Christianity is the fulfillment of Judaism. Salvation has come to Gentile and Jew through Jesus. There is no need for judaism because it finds its mission and end in the Jesus Christ.

He didn't tell us to practice Judiasm that's why. He told us to do something else and he changed everything to a NEW testament. He said this is the NEW testament in my blood. He gave orders to do what Christians do. He terminated Judaism and started Christianity so we don't do that. Also Judaism never had the Holy Spirit living in every believer and we do. It is all different. They also never had the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Luke 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
2Cor 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

The Christ was a Jew, and there are Jews today that still obey the law of Moses & yet believe that Jesus was the Messiah. The Christian church, I believe, evolved from the fact that pagan Gentiles became Christian converts in the early church. They didn't have a rooted belief in Mosaic law, and the early church fathers like St Paul, thought it was better to save souls than insist on thier following the letter of the law.

Boy am I going to get in trouble for this.

As a Christian Pastor I have often wondered where we came up with the idea to throw out all the different aspects of the Jewish Faith and start a new religion.
there are things that we do in the Christian Church that are, basically, rituals that we use to remind us of spiritual event sin our lives. Is that really so different from observing Passover or some of the other observances.
They are there to teach us about the mercy of God.
before anyone throws it up, I'm not saying that we start living under the Law.
But then again there is a lot to be learned from the law.

It's a misconception that Jesus practiced Judaism. Actually he was kicking Pharisaical butt was he not? He took every opportunity to remind those ignorant people that they are demented when they do such primitive practices, and he also rightly told them that their father is the devil. Jesus practiced the religion of liberating minds. He is the serpent in the flesh, and not many noticed.
