So I'm trying to help my buddy come up with a new name for his bar. Do you remember those Members Only jackets from the 80's?

I think "Members Only" would be a great name for a bar targeted towards gay males. You wouldn't need to be a member to get in, you'd just need to have one! Hehehe. Is this totally stupid? Will anybody even get the double meaning??

Got any other clever suggestions that are G-rated enough to put on a sign?

This guy at grad school just stares realllllllllllllly close to my face, really intensely, and until I looked he finally looked away really bashful...

We've never spoken, but everytime we make accidental eye contact, he quickly looks away.

And I always feel him staring at me whenever we're in the same vicinity...but we NEVER HAVE SPOKEN.

Does he want to talk to me? I tried once, but he quickly looked away yet he's ALWAYS watching me...ALWAYS...I don't feel uncomfy, but I don't know...

True story (as told to me by the client in question):

Software Developer neglects to email important information (conference call info) to client in a timely fashion (the client never received it).

His excuse: His email messaged must have collided with somebody else's email message, preventing it from reaching the client.

Heard any lame excuses?

What is in the DNA of cousins that will cause their kids to have birth defects? Is this just an old wive's tale? I'm sorry I just don't understand how it works. I thought human beings all pretty much have the same DNA so what difference does it make whether you marry your cousin or someone who isn't related to you? Isn't DNA or genetic material all the same?

On January 1, 2008 a new Texas law will add a five dollar per customer tax on strip clubs. The bulk of the money raised is to go to rape victim programs.

Strip Clubs are suing the state because it says it unfairly violates their first amendment rights and links their industry to sex crimes.

Does this tax unfairly target what some people view as an unpopular industry?

would you like to see holidays instituted around the:

31st december/1st of january...
31st march/1st of april...
30th june/1st of july...
30th september/1st of october

to my mind, it would be nice to be able to have four exactly equidistant resting points [in the year] to give a logical/secular/rational structure to the experience of the passing of the year,[that incidentally is also synchronised with new year---ie exactly three months after new year we have april 1st holiday----exactly three months after which..we have july 1st holiday----exactly three months after which comes 1st october holiday...then full circle again with jan 1st-three months later.

most people like to divide tasks into halves and quarters, and i see no reason why we couldnt divide the year itself by four quarter points- but that also align with new years day.

i know the equinoxes and solstices are almost the same thing, but theyt are not aligned to our current ist jan new years day.................

For various reasons (Louisville, KY for example) do you think they will reform country wide? Im fine w/ bans in planes, busses, etc. That's understandable. But every bar, restaurant, doorway, etc. is a little much. If you dont like it, just dont do it. We each had our own sections, which offers equal treatment for everyone, not just them getting their way and screw everyone else. Just because the overpriced establishments lose business to dive bars w/o smoking bans if they dont make them city wide is a horrible reason to ruin it for everyone. Money ruins everything, huh. If you are that health concious you shouldnt be in a bar or eating that crap anyway. And where yould your town be w/o cig taxes, hmm? (and before you go preaching "second hand smoke" how about you actually read the FDA reports and not just the mis-quotes from briefs in your local papers.) Yeay Louisville!!

Why does it seem that Europeans are not so hypersexual
about the body? Here in the US a woman can be
thrown in jail if you see her breast, and we are in a
breastfeeding war it seems like, women actually have
to FIGHT to nurse in public.

Europe is not even like that.

They also seem less Porn obsessed, less hyper-sexual.

Anyone from/in Europe want to elaborate as to why?
Thanks!
