Lots of associations. In no particular order- the Blarney Stone, Guinness, cute girls, the potato famine, the female character in "Ronin," those terrific girl singer on PBS, and the European Silicon Valley where you find well-educated English speakers.
Haven't ever been to Ireland, but maybe one day.
