Are you avoiding doing something important? If you were honest with yourself, what's a much better use of your time right now instead of sitting there in front of the computer? Do you feel guilty that you're not doing what you should be doing?

Did you hear about the 6-8 sex offenders in Miami who are being forced to live under a causeway bridge ? In Miami they have to maintain a distance of 2500 yards from anywhere children congregate. Dade county is apparently ok with this as the county has the causeway listed as the men's official address, and their probation officers come by at random to make sure they are there at their "residence" in the evening. Many wear GPS devices on their ankles which require electricity to recharge, and there is none there.

They do their laundry and bathe in the bay where they are camped. All of this because they cannot find a place to live within their restrictions.

What is the answer?

One man has asked the county to put him back in jail.

I realize that registered sex offenders are the pariahs of our society, but this does not seem right.

Does society have the right to make them live in these conditions?

You all answered with yes it annoys me when toddlers throw tantrums, it is unacceptable,. alright then geniuses tell me your magic way to make them stop, imagine you are smack in the middle of shopping, your trolley is almost full, and all of a sudden they ask for something, you say no, they start screaming and carrying on, What do you magicaly do to make them stop.
And ignoring them isnt an option because you have all said how inconsiderate it is to just let them go.

I hear lots of people complain about subcultures, like goths or emos, or about ideologies like white supremacy or fascism, or religions like scientology or jehovah's witnesses, or just behavior, like aggression or stubborness.

Silly question basically I was talking with an American who got anyoyed by a Canadian who called himself American.

Well he is.

American is anyone who lives on the continent of America, as you no doubt know.

Im American, and I was just wondering if it would be tacky to have a small traditional celebration on Independence Day? Should I invite the locals over to enjoy some beers and BBQ? My family typically told old stories about the revolutionary war and the day was revolved around family and country...So I would love my children to expirence it, but I am worried that others would see it as childish and tacky...any suggestions?
