I'm an American. I was just wondering about something. Does the world hate the American people or is it just the media trying to get to American minds and being successful at it? Or does the world hate president Bush, and not the people? Sometimes when I turn on the news, I see images of angry mobs burning and stomping on U.S. flags. Is it us or that jack*** in office? Some people say that I should travel abroad and see for myself ,but I hear too many stories of American tourists getting questioned, insulted, and spat on. I know I sound paranoid, but just tell me if the stories are true and if the world hates the American public or do they hate Bush?

I am watching the news in the UK here and apparently as long as you tick a box saying you have no mental problems you can simply buy a gun from a shop? Is this true? You can buy a gun as easy as a burger?Is this not a little dangerous?

If you're not the boss's buddy, your just screwed? Not only do they not listen to reason, they just aren't interested in what you have to say in any given argument. Not the way it is when you observe them with other "buddy-like" employees. And this goes for female & male authority. I've had all kinds of bosses.

I've just turned 22, and i'm looking back on literally 22 years of just 'thinking'... they say 'life happens when your planning for it'.. and that's exactly what has happened to me.. I feel i've achieved nothing noteworthy in my life... And the future looks very uncertain.. and it really feels like the pressure is on.. Anyone else felt like this, as if they have to validate their life in some way?

People kill people, because they have a reason, or are not mentally stable. Why do people blame guns for the deaths of people, when it's the person that is doing the killing?

If a man or woman is a bad driver, wreckless, doesnt pay attention and is going to eventually cause an accident or hurt someone... how can you stop them from driving?

They havent hurt anyone yet, have never been pulled over... but you have seen them speed, blow stop signs, almost hit people crossing the street, ect... how do you stop this person from hurting someone? This is actually a true scenerio... but it works for my real question as well....

Apply this to the VT massacre.

Alot of people are reluctant to do anything until its too late. Imagine locking this kid up before he shot everyone? The ACLU and whoever else would be all over it... its hard to stop someone from doing something that they have only shown potential to do.

So what can we do?
