I was sooooooooooo surprised when I opened the newspaper today, I seriously thought it would be a white dude (not to be racist but they tend to do all the killing and raping in america) I should stop being a prejudiced!

I thought the shooter would be white simply because I thought Virginia Tech was a predominantly white school. The fact that he was Asian wasn't really a shock. People of every race go crazy, and this was a deeply troubled guy. If the shooter had been a girl, that would've been a shocker because I've never known of a woman going on a shooting rampage.

I had a friend killed at the the University of Iowa by a Chinese student in a similar incident, but involving fewer people. So when I heard of this I half expected Asian. If it had been a girl I would have been very surprised. I have never heard of a case where a woman went on a shooting spree.

I was surprised it was a person, only wild animals kill right. Why are you putting race on something so horrible. Do you think those people love ones care what race the killer was. I know if he was black then that would prove it all blacks are dangerous, no wait what if he was white, yea cause all whites are serial killer, no wait middle easterner are the worst, cause they are terrorist, you dumb *** get a life, to bad you wasn't on campus and got killed, this would be a better place.

At first, I guessed American. Then, as time progressed, I thought it was a foreign terrorist or something of that nature. I don't think race really matters tho, an Asian can kill as many as a African and so on.

MMMEEEE!!!!! I was also surprised on the sniper to be black and OJ to be not guilty. :-) I thought it was going to be a white guy, or a black guy possibly (they are getting crazy now too). Also, some Muslims are pretty good at killing people, I would have expected one of them before an Asian guy. Never crossed my mind that it could have been a woman though.

surprised.. maybe a little, but there are loners and psychos in any ethnic group

Asians specially Koreans are fine marksman in the field of archery in the early centuries, I am not surpirse if they know how to shoot guns.

I didn't know but he had all the bad signs. Why didn't they send him home after all the stuff he did in 2005. From what everyone said he keep to himself and he wasn't in his right mind but they still let him go to school their.
